My gratitude to ( Chef Nikolaus Platterer ) who wowed us with his bold flavors and artistic craftsmanship A true Master 👏🏻 And to the lovely ( Host Caroline Hecher ) A welcoming, bubbly personality that attended us all night and kept us entertained with such elegance. The best dining experience ever we attended opus on our last day in vienna and they literally wrapped our stay. They were the perfect ending. Please note we did attend one of vienna 3 michelin star before opus and to be honest opus surpasses them by far. If i ever would travel back to vienna it would be for Chef Nikolaus Platterer and Ms.Caroline Hecher.

when I entered the restaurant, the waiters seemed doubtful about whether we wanted to go there, so while standing at the door, they immediately put a menu into my hand just to check the prices. 😅 this was quite unprofessional; however, the rest of the night was more than amazing. fantastic food, loads of "gifts" from the kitchen: bites, breads, and the gentleman serving us seemed to come from the early 20th century when waiters still had all the best manners to serve guests in an absolutely decent way. top place! and maybe, next time we can skip the menu incident at the beginning. 😉

This was the worst Michelin star restaurant I've ever been to. The waitress had no idea what was in each course and struggled to remember what was being served. Despite ordering the vegetarian meal, I was served chicken. My colleague joked with the waitress that it looked like chicken, and the waitress said it was not. After one bite, the main waiter came in and took it away. Finally, there were fruit flies buzzing around the table during the whole meal. It was a memorable meal, but for all the wrong reasons.

My family dined here in April of 2023. Our experience was very mixed.

PROS: A very accommodating menu for diverse dietary restrictions. We had some vegetarians and some omnivores, and some who do not drink alcohol. We had a lot of difficulty finding restaurants in Austria for this group. The alcohol-free beverage accompaniment was very nice. We got a mix of the five and seven course selections. Overall, the food was excellent and encouraged a lot of discussion. Some of the items verged on molecular gastronomy, which was very interesting. The morel dish in particular was amazing.

CONS: We got the impression that service was understaffed. It took about 45 minutes between courses, so we were there for 5.5 hours. Similarly, for everyone who got the wine accompaniment, the glasses were only filled (with small pours) with each course, so we primarily drank water for the 45 minutes before the next plate was brought out. To our surprise, we were each charged 38€ for the water as well. I felt that the pricing in general was not transparent, as we were each charged about 100€ more than we were anticipating. Dinner dragged on so long it actually became comical, like we were in episode of Fawlty Towers. At the table next to us, one of the diners got up to refill her wine glass from the bottle they purchased since the waiter only appeared every 30 minutes or so, and the waiter came over to let her know it was his job. Overall, it felt like fine dining in a prison, where we mostly ate bread and (expensive) water between small courses every hour. It was definitely the weirdest fine dining experience I...

Don’t come. Came to celebrate a birthday and it was wildly disappointing. I’m a vegetarian and although they had a prefix vegetarian menu I decided to skip it as most of it wasn’t something I’d want and go for individual selection on the regular menu. I did mention I don’t like feta (sheep or goat cheese) and they removed that from the appetizer (soup) but when the entree came it had feta still on it. And we were the ONLY TABLE there on a Sunday evening so there is no excuse to miss anything. I also got the mushroom appetizer. It tasted like it had a jar of miso and soy sauce poured on it (super sweet and salty). No mushroom flavor came through whatsoever. The soup was flavorless. And the worst punch of all was the prices being charged for all these incredibly...

Patisserie: spielerische moderne Variationen! Top! Käse: nichts besonderes... leider

Fazit: Dieses Restaurant würde ich nicht...
