Very rude waiter. When we have asked for a table for three, he has sent us to the lower lever. To our surprise this was where the toilets are! Still we took a place because we were hungry and it is close to Konzerthaus. Oh, what a mistake it was. The elderly couple on the next table argued with the same rude waiter that he has overpriced their bill. Apparently they were right when a simple math was introduced. He didn't apologise. The music of Falco is the best to be heard only in the .... toilets... the best place actually of this restaurant.... The food, oh well.. The Schnitzel was undercooked and the batter very oily. The burger was really bad. The french Fries a total frozen disaster. The fish was tastless and overcooked. Salad was old. What a disappointment. I wonder how long the owners are going to keep this male waiter to put their ratings down? When service is bad, food never tastes good either. Although I was a fan of Falco's I found the interior as tasteless as the food. No wonder we were shown as welcome the toilets first ....Avoid! Find...
Read moreMy wife and I passed this restaurant on our way back from St Stephens. We loved Rock Me Amadeus when we were younger so we thought this was a really cute idea. When we decided to go to dinner later that night we thought we'd head back to Falco's. We were not disappointed. The place is a very big restaurant and the atmosphere is really cool. Pictures of Falco everywhere and they play his music nonstop. The service was really great. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and the food was incredible. My wife got the small beef goulash, which wasn't so small (see pic) and me being an American in Vienna got a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger with french fries. The food was great. I loved my burger. It was a huge patty with a lot of taste. My wife loved her beef goulash too. I tasted ti and it was really good. For dessert, we had their Apple Strudel which was very tasty. Overall, We really liked this place. Great food, Great service and Great atmosphere. Please remember to tip if you enjoy the service. Falco's does not charge a Service Charge for...
Read moreConveniently located on the edge of the city centre, Falco’s is a bar, restaurant, museum and nightspot dedicated to the memory of the musician known as Falco, the man behind “Rock me Amadeus” and “Der Kommisar” among others.
Well located for stepping out of the tourist hub of central Vienna, but remaining close enough to it to continue sightseeing tours and so on.
A good blended space with bar and casual dining area, with more formal dining layout further in. Plenty of Falco memorabilia and imagery on the walls and Falco’s music playing on a loop in the bar area.
For me this was a nostalgia trip as well as a lunch visit, so I appreciated it all. Food is competitively priced for Vienna. Good range of drinks, especially non-alcoholic versions. Photo shows the small pork schnitzel. Well proportioned for the money spent.
Nearby attractions include the Soviet War memorial (c.300m) and just over half a kilometre from St Stephen’s Cathedral in the...
