I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gulash & Soehne, and I must say, the experience exceeded all expectations, particularly due to the outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel like valued guests.
The waiter was not only attentive but genuinely friendly, striking the perfect balance between being helpful and giving us space to enjoy our meal. He anticipated our needs effortlessly—our glasses were never empty, and any requests we had were met with a smile and swift action. It was clear that he takes pride in ensuring every guest feels special. It was also really nice to see the way he interacted just the same with every other customer, which ensured a lovely atmosphere.
The food, of course, was exceptional, I had the viennese schnitzel in bread roll with tartare sauce and also the Fiaker Goulash and I can't decide which one I loved the most, but the service elevated the entire meal to something truly memorable. If you're looking for a place where you’ll be treated like royalty while enjoying a fantastic meal, this...

We got a large beef and small potato one, and ended up mixing them together, definitely enough for two. It was filling, but it was so good that we considered getting an additional portion.
We didn’t need to book as we were relaxed with time, we went around 8pm and told us they could sit us at 9, so we came back later. 10min walk from the centre, so it wasn’t a big deal.
Food was great, atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, staff was helpful and eager to help. Only thing I would say is that some tables around us couldn’t order everything they wanted as they had ran out since it was late, they were offered alternatives, but if you want to eat a lot + dessert I would recommend going earlier than 9-10pm to ensure you can try everything. Would definitely come back here if I’m in...

We scored a last minute walk-in reservation and it also happened to be my birthday. Lucky me!
What a fabulous first experience trying traditional Austrian food. The Weiner schnitzel, though a bit expensive, was fabulously tender, super flaky and just perfect. It came with a cranberry sauce and a parsley mix, as well as a super tasty potato salad. The beef goulash was tender and delicious. The traditional sausage with shredded horseradish and mustard was fantastic as well, and probably my favorite, but it was ALL out of this world!
A special thanks to Gianni for making my birthday so special and providing us with excellent service and great suggestions. This is a must visit in Vienna if you can...
