An Unfortunate Misadventure with hyderabadi Cuisine
⭐️⭐️
Having heard much about the Desi food offerings in Baku, my visit to this particular restaurant was highly anticipated. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be less than satisfactory.
The signature Hyderabadi Biryani missed its mark completely. Instead of being a delectable mix of flavors and spices, it came across more as a poorly prepared fried rice. The Chicken Tikka, a dish I usually adore, tasted more like a Garlic Tikka, losing its traditional essence.
Moreover, the Naan, which is supposed to be soft and fresh, didn't live up to expectations either. It appeared stale, further dampening the dining experience.
However, the real disappointment came when we tried to provide our feedback. Instead of acknowledging the issues, the lady owner defended the quality by stating this is what we get everywhere in Baku. This response was disheartening and certainly not in line with a business that aims to improve and thrive.
Based on this experience, I regret to say that I wouldn't be revisiting this establishment. A restaurant's ability to take constructive feedback positively is crucial to its growth, and unfortunately, this place seems to miss that point.
My advice to potential diners would be to temper your expectations if you choose...
Read moreWait a minute and stop folks ...... Please avoid visiting this eatery while looking for indian/pakistani cuisine in Baku as they are manipulating the name of Hyderabad city to lure customers and once they are in, they serve the worst possible food at pretty insane prices. I visited this restaurant on June 28th with my wife for dinner and ordered a Hyderabadi chicken biryani which had such an absurd taste that can't be explained through any quantim of words and we left more than half of the portion on the plate. It was some stinky cubes of boneless chicken cooked in an abundance of vegetable oil, the rice were actually stinking and the whole dish seemed to be some leftover been served to us after reheating. The icing on the cake after having such unpleasant food was that the ill mannered server lady who was probably amongst the property owners overcharged us by 2 manat without any fair...
Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed the delicious dinner of Tandoori chicken, chicken kadai, dal tadka, channa masala, mutton biryani, and jeera rice. The garlic naan and the parathas were served hot and fluffy. All the items were delicious and prepared with personal attention and we realised that our hostess Ms Nargis was an expert chef. Whats more, the portions were so large that we could not finish all the dishes. The interiors were simple, but clean and hygeinic. It was real value for money. This place is a not to be missed gem among the more fancy eating places in the Nizami street area. One will not be dissapointed...
