Public health announcement: I found a large bird feather in my poke bowl from this location. When I emailed their corporate, they said in response that "from the photo it's not obvious that the feather actually came from the bowl"!!! and they have also refused to refund my order so far.

We loved the place and I was ready to move on if they were apologetic and surprised, but instead, they gaslighted me like an oil company. So bizarre.

Anyway, a feather in a poke bowl isn't normal and I didn't even have chicken in it. God knows what health standards they follow. I hope this review will make them do a health audit and also be polite to feather-finders who choose to email them first in good faith, instead of posting online reviews :)

Update: they replied to me below passively accusing me of lying and questioning my finding of hazardous things in their bowl. I did find it in the bowl, and I have no reason or extra time to lie to you. Further, your characterization of "reaching out to me multiple times" is false. I responded to every question you had, and each time you dismissively minimized and questioned my experience. Textbook hostile behavior towards consumers. You know what's ironic? I didn't want to write a review nor did I want to stop being your costumer. The feather didn't make me upset, your dismissive and disrespectful attitude has. Please consider owning up your mistake, review the health protocols, and stop questioning your customers. I had spent so much money at your store and you simply lost my business and caused this review, but remember my first action was to simply email you and you could've simply been apologetic, respectful, and reasonable. Learn from this.

Oh and, as an American, please stop saying "Aloha" before your diminishing dismissive disrespectful statements. Aloha is a message of peace not whatever it is you do at "customer service".

Immediately when you enter the establishment, you'll notice a few of those modern self-order computers not unlike Mc Donalds. This is where the similarities stop though, since the wait for my order was pretty long compared to other similar establishments. Granted, it was a beautiful day and the restaurant is located in a busy area.

They have a nice terrace in the sun and seating inside, although I personally wouldn't opt to eat in. It's hot inside and outside during the summer.

I ordered a personalized medium poke bowl with marinated salmon, 3x avocado, 2x wakame, 3x masago and wasabi mayo.

First of all, everything except for the wakame and avocado was bland. The avocado was nice and ripe and the wakame tasted like regular store bought wakame.

The wasabi mayo didn't taste or look like wasabi at all. The masago was unusually big and bland and it didn't have the signature pop in my mouth. Since this is such an important part of the dish for me, this was the most disappointing aspect of this experience.

And lastly, the "marinated" salmon was tossed in some sauce for less than 2 seconds, resulting in the blandest marinated salmon I've ever had. The employee was so rushed that they didn't even give me all of the salmon they measured and mixed for me.

As for the price, this place is slightly more expensive than the average poke bowl restaurant in Antwerp City. You also don't get as much as you would get at other poke places. The medium is basically a tiny bowl that fits in the palm of a medium-sized hand.

The food is absolutely delicious. The rice is well-cooked and the fresh guacamole is immensely tasty. The mix of everything in the bowl creates a scrumptious flavour and besides, it is healthy.

Further, the concept is enjoyable. The bowls have a cool shape and are made of wood. They have given the interior a Hawaiian touch by including many plants, such as a palm tree. The counter is also visible and colourful.

On top of that, the service is also really good. It is possible to be helped at the counter or you can place your order and pay via the terminal. The staff brings the food to your table.
