Restaurant Beethoven — Restaurant in Bruges

Rude service. No idea of customer service. Very rude staff. Food just OK. First of all, we asked if we can only order the menu meal and share between two of us and they denied. Then I order Fish stew of Ostende but it wasn't written in the menu that it is actually fish with melted cheese. I personally can't combine fish with cheese (kind of allergy). We politely asked them to change the dish with something else and the woman very rudely denied and started argued loudly with us. Then the cooker came out who was also very rude and told us that he doesn't offer anything for free. In the end, I accepted to eat only the cheese with the chips. Before leaving we asked them to pay by card, but they only accept visa and I had bancontact, so my friend told them that they really need to inform the customers for these things. She started argued again speaking loudly. It was obvious that they don't have any idea about customer service and good manners. Nice place in the center of Bruge. We had a nice lunch for a good price (only €20.50) for a soup, a steak and coffee. Quality/price rate was perfect. The meat was fresh and soft with aboundant side dishes (salad and fries). Everything was very tasty including mussels and frog legs, which we also ordered. The interior is cozy and clean. First we wanted to drink something there and before we even sit they ask us if we only want to drink something. We said yes and then they throw us out only because you need to eat at a Restaurant. We didn t even saw the menu to see what they offer. Yes we wanted only to drink something first BUT when you look at the menu you still can say yeah lets eat something.
