Food & Drink:
I had the classic American breakfast formula. Okay but nothing amazing , but that's kind of true of american food in general, which wouldn't be a problem if it was cheaper...
€ 13 for:
Two american style pancakes topped with chocolate/syrup: Pancake a little dry on the inside and syrup was frosted on rather than drooping over.
Two tiny strips of bacon: the bacon was tasty, a little crunch, of good quality. Stood out from the rest.
One egg: Fine; was the way a sunny side up should be, nice texture just wet enough.
Fresh orange juice: was indeed fresh and that portion at least was generous.
A coffee: I drink my coffee black and it was terrible. I could almost see through it. I cannot stand establishments that can’t even make a decent coffee, especially places with “cafe” in their name..
Atmosphere:
I came in early and was the first customer. The place is very spacious, but once it fills up it gets noisy, lots of kids. Something to consider if you are sensitive to noise.
Decor is american style diner fused with european and latin look. The light and decor is comfortable; soft on the eyes. It has a bit of a cafetaria vibe but it's not unpleasant.
Staff is friendly.

I asked if it was possible to have my eggs cooked properly sunny side up. A few minutes later, my plate was brought back, but this time the eggs were overcooked, with the yolks completely yellow and dry. The plate was no longer presentable either—they simply removed the eggs from the original plate, cooked them more, and threw them back on.
If you’re charging €19 for sunny side up eggs, you should ensure they’re cooked properly. On top of that, the dish itself lacked any ingredients or flavors that would make it enjoyable. It was just a sad tortilla topped with canned beans, undercooked eggs, some tomatoes, and avocado. It’s hard to justify the price for such a combination.
While the environment was nice, maybe other dishes are better. However, I definitely do not recommend this plate. I suggest the restaurant reevaluate their kitchen’s final check process and reconsider decisions like recooking an egg and serving it on the same plate. You can crack a new egg and do it right this time! I have seen same plate ordered by next table and their eggs were cooked correct. This makes quality standart of the restaurant very...
Read moreZERO glutenfree options. Zero interest in sick people’s needs, unfortunately. (Yes, I have asked and SOMEHOW even the bread was never available. Beside that, maybe you could care enough to offer anything else than supermarket bread? That is not even available when asked for.) REPLY TO ARROGANT COMMENT OF THE CAFE: '' apparently you had it''? I DID NOT because as I already said - it was not available, but I would not expect from this cafe anything more than buying bread from a supermarket. And thanks for confirming that I was right. You don't have to make the bread, you can buy it in a glutenfree bakery in Brussels or in smaller shops like the barn, but of course it is easier to buy disgusting bread from a supermarket with all the chemicals in it that makes bread eatable for at least half a year after production. And you do not have to tell someone who has to eat glutenfree, how much the bread cost. We pay for it all the time. And if you make customers pay extra for glutenfree bread anyways, you have nothing...
