Menelas Ouzerie — Restaurant in Brussels

We were told by the friendly waiter to wait 15-20 min. to get a table. As we were waiting, after 5-10 min. this woman came out of nowhere shouting IT'S FULL. We tried to explain that we are waiting for a table and we understand it was full now. Also a guy was waiving to us that they were about to leave. For some reason that I did not understand she insisted in a rude manner that it was full and we cannot have a seat. I really try to understand the motive behind but I cannot comprehend. It is a shame in this age and day there are still such people who are operating restaurants and do not know the minimum hospitality requirements. Very rude behavior. We have been told first to wait for 15 mins for a table which we were happily ok to do but after 5 mins a lady (waitress or owner) came out and she was almost shouting and telling “there is no place, we are full” even though a customer inside telling her “that’s ok we are leaving so they can take the table”. She shouted at us again “I am telling you we are full, now leave”. This is the rudest behavior I have ever seen and if you are thinking to have a dinner here, think twice! They may have delicious food but their customer service is very bad and they don’t...

Not bad but rather plain. If it was cheaper it would be easier to recommend.

The gyros were just all right, but not much better than any other (and cheaper) Greek snack. The fried calamari lacked crunch.

if you're alone you have to get a minimum of two dishes. overpriced since it tastes so bland, no finesse (29 euro for a plate of gyros, a plate of fried calamari and a glass of wine) bread looks and tastes defrosted house wine...
