The only good thing about this place is their young waiter named Van. He tried his best but his manager ruined it for us. We really should have eaten to the Thai restaurant opposite this.

Their Pad Thai was bland..which was truly confusing as the owners of this restaurant are Asians...it was as if it was cooked by someone still learning how to cook Asian food. There was no sourness and it was very sweet. No grinded nuts, no chives and almost non-existent scrambled eggs. Their Thai curry was ok.

We noticed that the manager or perhaps one of the owners (Asian lady in her late 30's or early 40's with glasses) was super accommodating to white guests in comparison to her fellow Asians. The table next to us (Japanese) asked for condiments at least 4x to that lady and they were pretty much ignored..whereas the white people were taken care of. I also asked the young waiter if he can give us vinegar, he said 'yes' and was gonna go to the kitchen but then this manager lady spoke to him in Vietnamese, he then told us that there's no vinegar in their kitchen.. this is ridiculous as vinegar is a staple ingredient in Oriental cuisines! Pretty sure this lady manager/owner told him not to get us vinegar.

We were gonna order desserts and more drinks but decided not to due this...

What should have been a simple lunch was spoiled by both the service and attitude of server.

We went after lunch so it wasn't busy, 2 drinks spring rolls 2 stir fry noodles. Simple enough.

A few minutes passed and out came some free prawn crackers the bowl they were in was filthy, old serviette obviously used a lot before.

15 mins later our drinks arrived, 10 after that the spring rolls.

40 mins later we asked about our food and the guy's attitude was incredibly rude. We were told it was our fault for ordering a stater so that caused the delay. He waited until we finished the starter (3 spring rolls between 2 people) before ordering the kitchen to cook and he has told them to cook it now. We had a few words explaining this long a wait is unacceptable. Guy was just incredibly rude.

Food came!

One dish had been sitting out a long time and had become cold on the outside.

Portion sizes were OK.

Plenty other Viet/Thai places in the same area I would suggest before here.

I was ready to walk out after the guy's attitude and I wish I had.

50€ for awful rude service...

If it is possible to leave something less then zero stars for Reve d'Asie restaurant I would. Besides the poorly seasoned food I think the staff is even worse. They try to over bill you every chance they get. Keep a close eye on your bill people. I've been to many Vietnamese restaurants in the past and this place is by far the worst. I just hope they go out of business soon so a better restaurant can be given a chance to thrive. Since eating here I've asked asked other others in Belgium if there is such thing as a 21% drinks tax and there is no such thing. Yet that was something I was charged. Also. I suspect they are are bottling tap water in a glass bottle and charging costumers 5 euro for it. I challenge someone to take the glass bottle out of the restaurant after your meal. They won't let you. ...

We enjoyed so much the Vietnamese food at the restaurant, we came the next day to them again. Very tasty, balanced, fresh food. The schrimps raviolli soup was wonderful, the duck in sweet-sour sauce with vegetables, and the chicken curry were delicious anf flavourfull. The service was discreet and very nice. The tea we have tried - mint and green jasmine - good and in sufficient quantity. We have only tasted Vietnamese food both times. The location and decor are also pleasant and atmospheric. Everything very clean. It is not cheap as price, but anyway we enjoyed the entire experience and consider it is a good price-quality ratio.

There are a lot of options to choose from on the menu, apart from the desserts where there aren't a lot of. The toilets are clean. They have a lychee wine that is really good and is something that I have never seen before. The food is also really good and comes in a big portion. The only thing that wasn't very good was the waiting time. We had to wait a long time before our food arrived between each course. Also it is really tight and there is not a lot of room to walk. This is quite annoying, as you feel a bit bunched up because of that
