BIG portion sizes and also high quality 🇯🇵
our order: • entrées - Takoyaki, Spicy Okonomi Gyoza 🥟 • main - Teriyaki-curry set and Spicy Ebi Kushi Kara-age Ramen
Reasons why this restaurant deserves 5 stars ⭐️: the curry as well as the ramen were portion-wise really BIG (as you can see in the pictures), the CRISPNESS of the Kara-age chicken as well as the Gyoza - just wow 🤤 the meal assembly especially for the curry was very APPEALING to the eye and made you want more KIND STAFF and NO reservation needed to get a table in the restaurant COZY ambience and Japanese style interior design that make you forget that you're in Brussels last but not least, EXTREMELY SHORT waiting time (felt like in a blink of an eye the food (including entrées were served)
⚠️ However, I've got some little remarks (but they are on a very high level): • Takoyaki weren't that worth it since I've been to Japan and the consistency wasn't matching with my authentic experience/Takoyaki in Japan • the variety of drinks could be more improved due to the limited options (idea: homemade Japanese green tea, matcha, etc.)
Overall, DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT! I can recommend the restaurant to you in case you're looking for super delicious curry...
Read moreSadly I was that customer.. hope this review help training the staff, I went there today (very hungry lol) ordered takoyaki, a beer, a water and a ramen to which the server asked me if I wanted spicy. I said yes. I sat outside for the first part of my dinner, tako and drinks came, then air chilled and I asked to be inside (for the ramen) plates for other customers flew by me, it took a bit to realize my order may never come (good 40 mins based on the pic I took when I got the tako) server never realized I was just waiting on an empty table, I asked for the check and is when I realized she never got the ramen into the order. Honestly I was not on the mood anymore for taking it. Just paid and left… Ramen looked pretty good.. at the other tables… i used to serve tables and a customer on an empty table is a BIG red flag, you can always stop and ask if there is anything pending or else they would like to order, that is how you catch on any mistake, the customer is not and should not be aware on the regular turnaround times of kitchen, when they realize their order is late or never coming is usually when they see new tables after them receiving their orders, by then,...
Read moreTheir ramen was pretty good when judged in a void, however many menu items are chicken-based (as was the ramen that we got), and I don't remember the last time I've had chicken this bad in a restaurant. Despite being supposedly "teriyaki", it tasted and felt like it was boiled chicken, and didn't have nearly enough sauce or seasoning. As I said, the rest of the ramen was pretty good, and the takoyaki was also fine for the price. However, I would personally not come back to this place, and if you really want to give it a visit for yourself, I would advise staying away from anything with teriyaki chicken (I haven't tried the karaage chicken, so I can't attest to...
