The ramen were okay-ish - mediocre. I think that the price/quality ratio was not good in my opinion. The cheapest bowl is 14 euros and it’s not super tasty.

The service was disappointing. We were not content with one ramen bowl. As we’re not people to complain about food we get, this time we just didn’t want to pay for a 17 euros bowl that says “chef’s special”, but honestly there was nothing special about it. It was not spicey and the pork was dry and too salty. When we wanted to say something about it, they told us we should’ve told them earlier. Yes, I agree - our timing wasn’t perfect, because everyone else at the table was already finished eating. But note: half of the table got their food later, we had 2 or 3 bites and they came upstairs once in the mean time. When we said that, their response was that if it was that horrible, we should’ve come downstairs. When you go to a restaurant to get served, you should go downstairs if there’s something wrong with the food? Yes we could have come downstairs, but come on... where’s your service? Well, there was no deal possible, we paid the whole amount and got a beer for free.

If there’s nothing wrong with your food or whatever, I think that the restaurant is okay. Don’t expect to be treated as a guest, because that’s not really how they do things there, except...

At the very heart of Brussels, a centre where you are crowded with various restaurant options. This japanese ramen shop stands out for the delicious ramen served.

It's a small restaurant serving a good variety of options. For a vegetarian, it's a struggle to find options in food, but umamido personally removes the barrier. The place usually gets crowded during weekends, but for the taste, it's worth the wait.

Our specifications made was totally mixed up wrong, but I wish staff were friendly with a smile, at least, which is the major downside I felt in comparison to Bailli Umaido(such sweet friendly staff)

Ramen's ordered: Brothless Teriyaki Mazamen, Shoyu Chin Tan, Veggie Tan Tan Men(signature style), Miso chin Tan

Donburi: Japanese fried chicken

Recommendation: We weren't so happy with the portion of Ramen served but I must admit the taste was phenomenal(dont forget to add Marinated egg its so good) and with donburi it was way too sweet for our taste buds, it felt more sweet soy is filled in the donburi

Would I come again: Yes, I personally have been and would for the veg options and the broth taste...

I almost died from an allergic reaction eating here. I am severely allergic to peanuts. I go into ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK if I eat a certain amount of anything with peanuts in it. There was nothing on the menu saying it had nuts in it. I ate a ramen bowl and right after something felt VERY wrong. We asked the waiter if it had nuts who shrugged it off and said “maybe, I don’t know”. Then later ANOTHER waiter told us ALL SOUPS contain peanuts, their reason being “all Asian food has peanuts in it, you should’ve expected that🙄”. Having lived in Asia, I KNOW this is a fat lie. I spent the rest of the day in complete agony, violently vomiting and with my throat closing up and burning, nearly avoiding the hospital. The pure INCOMPETENCE of the staff is STAGGERING! I later called the manager to tell them what happened to me and they asked me to send them an email but they NEVER RESPONDED. I could have DIED that day because of them, yet this restaurant couldn’t care less . NEVER COMING BACK HERE, they treat their clientele like...

Food is amazing as usual even if very very salty. Although we had to wait for a very long time for our food on a Tuesday noon, we were only three and the restaurant wasn't even full. The waiters were talking more between themselves than attending tables. I took the classical yuzu ramen. However with a few extra's it is very very expensive. I asked for an egg and some seaweed on top. Regarding atmosphere, the restaurant needs a refresher. Seems sticky everywhere, no comfortable seating. One of our party was pregnant and she was not comfortable on the benches at all. Perhaps better seating and cleaning would be envisageable in the future? Was cheaper before and faster. Not sure if I will come again as there are many competitors in the area with cleaner surfaces, and more comfortable seating.

Upon entering the restaurant, they asked me to sit on the first floor of the restaurant because the first floor should be full first before they can let other customers sit on the 2nd floor. Which is strange for me but at the end we sitted upstairs since there are more customers coming in, which is nice. Anyways, if thats their in-house policy well, we should follow somehow. Food is good but nothing special. Ramen of the chef is very nice.( 4/5) Recomended! Teriyaki, which is my dish is good enough(3.5/5). Their homemade lemonade is really nice, must try! They have a clean toilet. They have nice staff and waiting time is not that long.
