Alberta Wing Shack Canmore — Restaurant in Alberta

At the advice of my colleague Kudzai who always orders from there I decided to try something different today seeing as I work/live at Canmore inn & suites & it’s basically next door from the front desk where I work. I ordered through Uber Eats as I’m ill and didn’t want to go out.

I ordered the Doritos chicken burger, Chicken Samosa & a Butter chicken poutine. I’d requested extra onions/parsley on the poutine.

I feel like those of us who work in the hospitality industry and go out of our way to do a great job don’t always get recognized or appreciated so whoever it was that made my food today - thank you very much! I can’t eat that much at once but will eat the rest later but thanks for going out of your way to make my poutine extra special.

The Doritos coated chicken burger is HUGE by the way. I could barely eat half. But the coating is crispy and flavourful. Would definitely order again.

The Samosas were extremely crispy and good with the tamarind dipping sauce, they aren’t huge but they’re very good.

I can’t believe they make a Butter Chicken poutine. Again, I had a few bites but am very full so will reheat tomorrow but it was made with care and was extremely delicious. I’m glad this place is so close. I’ll recommend it to my hotel guests as well.

Just wish it was open later because I work overnights so would have to order earlier. Can’t wait to try other...

Where do i even begin, I went to dinner with my 2 daughters for a quick bite to eat. Nothing was quick at all about this. After ordering my food, I was told 15 to 20 minutes. We went outside to console our 2 crying children and return after 20 minutes to being ignored by the staff. People who came in after us and ordered food after us were sitting there enjoying their dinner, and here we were waiting for the food we had ordered well before the people eating.

Finally, after being ignored for 10 more minutes, I asked where my food was and was told it was being packed. No apology, no, nothing at all, not even acknowledgment that we were sitting waiting for food while others were eating.

Now we get to the food. The wings are nothing special, over breaded and undercooked. The wings were soggy and mushy. The chicken burger was a piece of chicken smashed down to paper thin breaded and put on the bun. The burger was covered in so much mayo the bun was soggy, and all you would get every Bite was breading in an over mayoed bun.

It was not worth the time nor the hassle we had to deal with. Will never be going back and will be steering my friends away from this...

This place offers chicken wings, fried chicken, chicken burgers, wraps, and chicken strips. It's too bad they dont offer boneless wings as well. This place advertises that they have 69 sauce flavours, and while I'm sure most of them are delishious, I was disappointed that they only put them on the wings.

I ordered 2 pieces of fried chicken and asked if I got sauce with that, and they said no. I could pay $1.50 for a small container of sauce that was no bigger than a McDonald's nugget sauce. According to their menu, even the chicken strips only come with plum or honey mustard sauce... why brag about having 69 flavours if you only allow one item on your menu to have them?

The fried chicken and fries I had were both bland with no seasoning. KFC does better chicken, and I think their food tastes like cardboard. There was no salt or pepper to be seen, and we had to ask for Ketchup. My friend ordered the wings and said they were fine but no better than the ones he makes at home. This place appears to have so much potential yet misses the mark in a lot of ways. I'd try them again if they expanded on their seasoning and the dishes they...
