Caffè Sole — Restaurant in Edmonton

I’ve been visiting Caffè Sole for some time since last year. It’s a nice local coffee shop for pickup and go with breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I always support local businesses and I love their special spiced brewed coffee. Most of the staffs are very friendly. I always see one Sr male staff (probably the manager) and 2 younger female staffs working there. They all speak Spanish which I don’t understand. The younger female staff with lighter skin tone who is very friendly and helpful. She is very nice and kind always try to know her customers and provide professional services. However the other female staff who has a rounded face and darker skin tone doesn’t seem to be very happy working there. I had to repeat multiple times to her that I wanted to have the cinnamon spiced brewed coffee. She finally understood my order but she immediately turned her head over the other female staff and spoke to her in Spanish while I was in front of her paying for my order on the machine. Her face expression and voice tone made me wonder what she said to her coworker and I’m pretty sure she was talking about me and I was just there! I don’t feel comfortable to go back to Caffè Sole after this experience. Her behaviours made me so sad and stopped me...

As a non-coffee drinker, I ordered the iced lavender matcha latte and you can immediately tell that the matcha powder used was really low quality and not a vibrant green at all. The drink itself had a good amount of lavender taste, however the matcha used also felt grainy while drinking due to the fact that the matcha was not properly whisked into the drink well enough and clumps are formed throughout the whole drink and float to the top. The person who took my order and served my drink seemed kind and the time it took to get my drink was pretty quick - I just wished that with the price I am paying for a matcha drink better reflected the price...
