Jimmy The Greek — Restaurant in Hamilton

This place has good food, yet it seems there's an issue with food portions- the word generous is what's missing. I order a gyro plate & they start with salad. O.k. They cram everything onto one plate btw- but that I'll leave out. The young woman starts with the onions. She picks up the tongs & gently & slowly picks up 3 strips of red onions.....are you serious?? I asked for more, she does the same thing. By this point, you know after coming here for years I realize they're being really, really cheap. Even the guy does it & they all start to complain to a customer that it's how much is given. I keep asking them for big handfuls of onions which is usually the way it's given for big eaters. I love food, especially red onions - my fave- but they're acting really obnoxious about it & exaggerate heavily with the cheap, small portions. I'm getting fed up with it - literally...the olives....they've given out 2 or 3 olives & I went nuts...come on, it's supposed to be big handfuls of olives repeatedly, a nice generous amount & they keep ripping it off by being cheap. If I'm paying for a $15 plate plus....I want it to be big & be full. Not here. I will continue to reason with the portions until it's understood that they are cheap & saving $ on portion sizes. The worst part is that they probably throw out those trays of onions & olives at the end of the night anyway- FULL. I just can't...

Horrible service. Would not cater to my allergies to the carrots in the salad.. every other jimmy the Greek will and has. They avoid the carrots for me or get me salad without carrots in it. The 2 men and 1 women working tonight (jan 23 2019) were so rude. I literally had to say to the women "I dont have to justify my allergy to you, I'm allergic to the raw carrots end of story" because she kept a questioning my allergy. I was told they arent allowed to do anything for me so I basically cant get food from. After asking maybe 5 or 6 times if they have salad in the back without carrots, or if there is anything they can do, I was told no every time. Finally they agreed to get the salad from the back, the one without carrots and they made a big deal out of it. Also every jimmy I go to gives tzatziki sauce when you order and if you want an extra one, you have to pay, they wouldn't even give me one.. told me it doesnt comes with tzatziki at all.

This was my worst experiance with jimmy the Greek especially at this location, and I go there weekly and have been for years. The burlington locations are amazing, always such nice people working that will cater...

One of the worst if not the worst customer service in Lime Ridge Mall food court. Food is average, lot of times way too salty.

Update: this was the last straw for this location. Got their gyro and they literally did a 3 seconds on each side of the pita for "toasting" and because of that, the food tastes very starchy. Generous on the tomatoes but all were located at one end. Cheaped out on the lettuce though. Overall presentation of the food was terrible and messy. Food tasted extra dry because they cheaped out with a single line of tzatziki sauce. McDonald's would be the same price but at least I'll be full and would usually be satisfied with their fries.
