They do many many things absolutely right:
The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. Sometimes I really want to have a conversation with my friends and family, not shout over loud music.
DINNER MENU: Some of the food on the menu is phenomenal. Reasonably priced yet top-notch flavour. the sea food pasta was something I would have expected from a fancy Italian restaurant for $30+ dollars. Other items on the menu are more family-style like the Bento Box and the burgers. Comfortable flavour. For me, Bento Box is very nostalgic as someone who grew up in Asia before moving to Canada. It's like eating food from My Neighbour Totoro movie but with awesome Korean spices, if that makes sense. I would also take J's cafe's burger over Bin4 burger anyday!!!
BREAKFAST: We tried egg drop sandwich & pulled pork panini. I usually feel like paying for breakfast is waste of money because I can easily make something similar for way less money. I was proved wrong. Both were again reasonably priced yet offered really wholesome meal with wonderful flavour.
Service is fast & excellent. Learning of my shellfish allergy, the chef whipped up a modified seafood pasta with no extra charge & it really was amazing.
Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Kelowna. You can choose to do comfy food or fancy food depending on your cravings for the day. It's table service but you pay at the counter when you order just as an FYI.
I highly recommended exploring something you haven't tried before. My spouse and I tried their shaved ice dessert. Neither of us had ever tried that texture or flavour before and it was fantastic.
P.S. I tried their version of caramel latte. Better than Starbucks caramel macchiato for sure. Also try Binoche bun in the terracotta pot with...

Was very excited to try a new-ish Asian restaurant in town and one with such great reviews.
There were just a few tables at the time we came and the owner checked in on all the other patrons except our table.
Other tables were asked if they would like a refill on water and even offered and served complimentary dessert with their meal order (some off the menu waffle).
The other patrons were not regulars/did not know the owners as they also mentioned it was their very first time at the restaurant. The restaurant is very small and it's very easy to hear all the conversations, especially when there are only a couple tables.
We were definitely not expecting any complimentary items but no one wants to know they are NOT treated the same and every other paying customer is getting special treatment (especially knowing/hearing/feeling it in earshot).
In this day and age, basic service and feeling like you are treated the same as everyone else should be just a given.
Food was ok. The "ramen" comes with udon noodles and not ramen noodles- which is misleading.
Many new Asian restaurants in...
Read moreOk so I tried this place for the first time. Went in just for a cup of coffee where all the other coffee shops close at 5, this little place is open till 9. I really don't understand why other shops close at 5, can't you have coffee after 5? Anyways the staff welcomed us. We ordered coffee and customized ice cream for my kid. They willingly did that with no issues at all. They were very friendly and nice. Coffee was good too. My son started feeling sick right after having the ice cream so I confirmed what ice cream did they use and they showed me the tub, it was Chapman's. Chapman is not a healthy ice cream at all. I wish they use better ice cream from the nearest parlors instead of this. For coffee, they had cream and 'not milk' pack. Just to let you know that 'not milk' is full of inflammatory oils and junk ingredients. I know people ask for nut free plant based so go for oat or hemp milk instead of this milk, its just a suggestion. You don't make that milk so not your fault, just offer healthier options. Nevertheless, the staff was very caring and nice as I mentioned before, very accommodating, you should try...
