Food/Drinks: Very big portion of salad fraicheur, very interesting and different flavor combination. The corn, grapefruit and pear tasted very nice crunchy and refreshing The lobster and fish was very filling. I loved the different take on the fries, cut into a hashtag chip design. The lobster was good, I think the way it was made took the flavor out of the meat The presentation for the lobster and fries was very cool. It was sitting on top of parchment paper that looked like it was a newspaper. Little touches like that are appreciated and what sets one restaurant apart from another The blackberry tom Collins could have used more juice and less ice so that the flavor was stronger but that’s a personal preference. They have an impressive bar. I loved that they used Tito’s in the drink as I don’t like to taste the alcohol, but I like to have it in my drinks! Nice and unique flavor, never had a drink like this before. I would definitely have it again

Other Comments: It seems like they always update their menus as I cannot find the lobster and chips on their online menu anymore. First Fairmont bar to receive 1 star from me.. First Fairmont bar ever to not meet expectations.. we ordered 2 cocktails and bar nuts.. cocktails were sports bar standard and hospitality was non existent.. Worst part was the bar nuts ..they were stale as of left open for long time...not just that there were pieces of plastic in the bowl which can be seen in the picture.. We showed that to server and sent the nuts back...we got the check and nuts were not removed...sever got the new new nuts after all the check payment and the time we were about to leave.. This might seem like a small issue but this is definitely not...

I want to begin by saying that the atmosphere in AXE is very pleasant and I certainly enjoy it. The vibe is great, as is the decor. The drinks themselves at this bar are also quite good and well-made. However, it takes an extremely long time to receive drinks. I frequently visit AXE for a cocktail hour on my way from my hotel room to my dinner reservation elsewhere, and while other bars take anywhere from zero to five minutes to serve the initial round of drinks, I typically waited at least twenty at AXE. My overall recommendation would be to know what you’re getting into, because it’ll take longer...
