Simply bad management. We arrived and let them know we had no reservation. They never took our name but looked around at tables and said they needed to get a table ready. Another group behind us also did not have a reservation. 20 mins later they seated us (and the other group). We reviewed the menu, chose our drinks and were looking at food options. 10 mins later someone came over to ask if we had a reservation, and when we said we did not they said the table we were at was for a specific group. They promised to get us the next table.

10 mins later we inquired on when that would be, they shrugged and said "maybe 90 mins". They obviously didn't care now that they got us out of the seats.

Never have I ever been kicked out of a seat I was led to by a host. Never have I ever been so rudely treated afterwards. No real apology, no offer of a reservation the next day, no offer of a drink while we waited for another 90 mins. Just a shrug. The manager didn't care, and the server clearly cared even less.

We watched as the new group sat in our seats, and unfortunately drank from the same water glasses we had just sipped from.

Terrible management, terrible hospitality, terrible handling of an unfortunate issue, and terrible empathy for a group that sat around for 30 mins and ended up on the street searching for something else. Would never recommend, and if I were the owner I'd seriously look into...

We never were able to actually eat here. We were travelling at the end of a long day and stopped at the hostess desk. We were advised the wait was approximately 45 minutes which was confusing at first owing to the site of empty tables (it became clear as to why later). With 2 small children, and 2 seniors with us we went for ice cream while we waited. We returned and were told another 15-20 minutes. Then we were told our table was being cleaned and set (which it was) - another 15-20 minutes. Then when we expected to FINALLY be seated, we were told we couldn't (even for a drink) as the kitchen was overwhelmed and couldn't accommodate more guests. So after being 'strung along for over an hour and a half we had to get our very tired and starving children fed elsewhere. I approached the manager after and he had the gall to blame the closed pub across the way instead of taking ownership that his staff could not estimate waits or accommodate the number of guests they had already let in. He had nothing but excuses - people take too long to eat, short staff, and according to him "bad service is being closed." I suggest bad service is not being able to estimate wait times and long waits with no actual meal...

Ducked in on a whim... and it was downhill from there. Seated upstairs and they forgot about us. Had to remind them we were even here. Ordered a "large" QG salad with dressing on the side - it was the smallest "large" salad I've ever had, and dressing was on it. The Diet Coke was flat and watery. The vinegar had a fly in it (seriously). And the salt shaker was so dirty nothing would come out... so upon checking under the lid, saw it was rusty on the INSIDE. It seems impossible for so much nonsense in one meal... But let's not stop there... Fawcett in men's bathroom did not work - had to go to ladies'.. which did not have a soap dispenser that could be used without picking the whole thing up (was detached from the wall). Upon mentioning this to staff, seems they knew (it had been like that since the day before) but had just not done anything about it yet. I suggested they put up a sign - to which they said "good idea". Unbelievable! Atmosphere in the restaurant is still nice, though, and staff is courteous at least. Nonetheless, will...

We loved our dinner at QG. As the restaurant is small, we were seated at the bar, due to the few larger reservations. Apparently it was a very wise step! First our very accommodating bartender let me taste a couple of the beers offered on draft - I ended up selecting an excellent wheat ale by Unibroue. The menu had really many enticing options. We shared grilled calamari steaks as our appetizers - a much tastier and juicier option than fried calamari, IMHO. My wife had an enormous portion of 5-cheese ravioli in white wine creme sauce, topped with pulled duck - what a delicious addition! I had a Piglet Hindshank that was tasty but light (due to the age and size of the piglet). I would also dare to recommend a couple of dishes that I was considering and that were then ordered by a couple we befriended at the bar - a wild boar stew (served in an iron pot) and a braised Lamb Shank - they loved both of them. We'll definitely be back, merci!

on my last night in tremblant, probaby forever, i wanted to enjoy more local food and drink where to start ! a nice quebecois gin while i planned my meal. lorie recommended the house salad with it's maple cream dressing (good call !) the house made trout gravlax was surprisingly tender, and the accompanying creme was a perfect refreshing complement and the duck confit .. oh my .. one of my favorite dishes, yet i almost never order it coz somehow most places seem to overcook it. not here - big, juicy and flavorful with perfectly crisped skin, and lovely accompanying blueberry compote being a low carb guy, with not much of a sweet tooth anyways, in the spirit of trying more quebec flavors, lorie suggested the maple cream whiskey - wonderful ambience? upscale rustic. friendly. tasteful music (which they happily adjust for the guests). friendly attentive service. thanks for a lovely evening :-)

Such a cool place, with interesting, cozy decor and a great assortment of unusual meats (elk carpaccio, wild boar stew, half piglet shank, etc). It's surprisingly both great for a date night and also with a family; they have a kids menu and crayons but also a full bar. My favorite was the duck in blueberry sauce, and the half pigling shank was also really good. Both were so tender, and came with really good sides. I also got to try two unusual appetizers here: the calamari steak and frog legs. The calamari was great, very unlike its usual form. The frog legs were also tasty, but tasted quite like chicken (not that I've ever tried them before). We had a hard time choosing dessert, but settled on the rhubarb and strawberry crumble, which was incredible, I think we chose right!
