We went two nights in a row (Thursday & Friday). There was a clear difference in how crowded and popular this place was. Thursday night had no cover charge, and most of the attendees stayed near the main dance floor area. There was a minimal wait to grab drinks. Plenty of space to dance near the back and they allowed people to get on the bar to dance. Friday night was a $10 cover charge, the man standing out front didn't wear anything indicating he worked there. The place got crowded spilling to the back tables and onto the deck area. Heat lamps on the deck, bathrooms on the bottom floor. The smell of sweaty butt cheeks, body odor, and alcohol quickly consumed the dance floor. I witnessed a guy get carried out by security because he ran and dove over the bar. The vibes for Friday were sloppy drunk energy but if that's what you're looking for, you found the right place. Waiting for a drink took much longer than the night before. Both nights they had a similar track list (top 40s/house remixes/2000s hits) despite having two different djs. Overall a fun experience and is definitely the night life of tremlant. Danced a lot and had a good time!

Disclaimer: we are not the demographic this place caters to plus it seems like they were not on their game yet. So I would expect this is a very fun place for a drink (or many!), music, dancing, etc. If you're looking for a low key meal, i would probably try elsewhere. All of the seats are counter height and the focus is on bar style seating (including a long row of tables). The music is loud and the lighting is primed for a party. Somehow both dark and featuring a red light aimed directly into my eyes. Again, so fun for a party! I had a bloody Caesar, which was fine and offered a built-in appetizer: a pickle, three speared olives, and a slab of rigid beef jerky. For some reason the server added water to it. We shared a vegan roll appetizer that was actually quite good and presented nicely. Due to slow service, menu confusion, and the not so relaxing atmosphere, we left at this point. Also, the server was delighted that a picture of a grumpy child was the owner but I'm nearly positive I saw it on awkward family photos or some meme. I would go back if I were in a fun mood,

The food was delicious (pulled pork poutine) and service was good although it was empty besides two other tables and we waited 15 mins before I finally got up and got the menus myself. However, the doors to the restaurant on both sides were wide open the whole time despite it being 5 degrees out so we were freezing (I understand when you work in the industry you move a lot so you don’t feel the cold, but when you’re sitting it makes a difference). Me and my friend both ordered bloody Caesars. The jerky on top was delicious. But unfortunately they tasted like water.. something was missing either Worcestershire or Tabasco or both. Or maybe just way too much ice. We also couldn’t taste the alcohol. Maybe it was just the proportion (probably only 1oz) of the alcohol to the ice in the mason jar but we did not taste it. We asked if maybe they made us virgins by mistake but were assured there was alcohol. They offered another shot to make it a double, which we accepted (and payed for…). Decor and vibe pretty cool though and we would come back for the food!

As a business owner, myself and three friends are shocked by the poor customer service and quality of food we received at this establishment while on vacation.

We arrived at 2pm and waited over an hour to receive our food order without any updates from our server on its status. The restaurant was at around 50% capacity when we arrived so not overly busy. Two tables around us received their food before we did despite us having arrived first. It appeared they forgot our order. When we did receive our food, it was ice cold and two of us did not receive our orders at all. A different server asked 10 minutes later if we got one of the orders yet and we advised not yet. He became visibly frustrated. We asked to speak to a manager. We spoke with Justin who turns out to be one of the owners. This interaction was perhaps the most concerning of all for two of us who own successful businesses and prioritize customer experience above all else. Another one of us is a manager of a major brand and another has over 10 years of customer service experience, so our experience is not just a “customer scorned” or “customer is always right.”

All four of us found Justin to be combative, argumentative, defensive, and non apologetic. He did not take the time to even hear what happened, make any amends to our order, or take initiative to improve our experience. He was immediately dismissive, argumentative, and rude. We felt dismissed, unheard, and eventually left hungry because he told us if we don’t like it we can leave. Someone else shared in another review that he was arrogant. 100% accurate. As a woman, I especially do not recommend this establishment given his behaviour towards me. I feel gross and like you would after gaslighting from my interactions with this man.

We all felt unwelcome and ultimately like WE had done something wrong even though we had late, cold, missing food. Other recent reviews on here are from women being physically assaulted and folks feeling discriminated against! It’s clearly from the position of power this man is in and how he treats people.

We would not recommend this establishment. Looking at the multiple other low star reviews, it appears Justin has further reflection to engage in on his professionalism, communication, customer...

Warning, warning! Do not fall for this tourist trap of a “restaurant” to bring your family to or even for a casual lunch or dinner. The prices are outrageous for what you get and the food is mediocre at best. We had a table for nine with four adults and five children for a casual dinner and ended up spending over $500 … and the food took FOREVER to come to the table when the restaurant was basically empty and there were staff swarming around everywhere. To put the cost in perspective we looked at the itemized receipt and saw they charged us over $50 for seven sodas, $60 for two orders of wings, which each contained 8 to 10 small wings. And over $16 for each kid’s meal, which did not even fill up our children (think a slider for a “burger”, two tiny chicken fingers, and one tortilla folded over for a quesadilla). We received no apology for how long the meal took, and no warning about how much certain things were costing us… Including the sour cream, I asked for for our burnt nachos (after having to hunt down a server) which ended up being an additional five dollar charge.

This place is a true Mont tremblant rip off for a meal. Take your $$ and family elsewhere… there are a few great restaurants off mountain where quality, service and food caliber way exceed that of the Caribou. Judging by the reviews après-ski is where it’s at for here but I know for one I will not be giving it a shot.

Edited (based on reply from restaurant): Please note that the restaurant reply failed to speak about the service or the quality of food.... when i see the amount currently on the menu, yes, i expect good quality. I have no problems paying "current market value" where food quality and service live up to the price. (in fact we did that at several other restaurants during our holiday). Caribou failed to meet any expectations i would have for...

The worst restaurant experience of my life

I hope the restaurant doesn’t just copy and paste their response to this review. Be creative, know how to respond, and fix your service as is customary in ALL of your replies.

From the moment we arrived, we knew something was off. A man at the entrance warned us that the food would take an hour to be served, which we understood given the number of people in Mont Tremblant. Despite that, the disaster began when they didn’t have the type of burger we wanted. We accepted ordering a second option, but in hindsight, we should have left right then.

We patiently waited an hour while watching a group of 5 or 6 people, who arrived after us, receive their complete order 25 minutes before us. Clearly, this restaurant decided to prioritize a larger group over us, just because we were only two people.

When our order finally arrived, it was incomplete. The waitress didn’t even warn us that key ingredients were missing. When we pointed it out, she responded with total unprofessionalism: “So, you don’t want the dish?” Of course, we rejected it. How could they expect us to pay for a burger without fries, without ingredients, without anything? They didn’t have half of the menu available.

I honestly wonder: why don’t they just close the restaurant if they can’t offer decent service? They can’t even communicate properly. It was a disastrous experience from start to finish, and I would never go back.

And to top it all off, when it was time to pay the bill, they charged us for something we didn’t even order. Thanks for the...
