We could see this rooftop terrace from the marina, but it is difficult to see from the street. It is above the Auberge Vieux du Port, on the 5th floor. An elevator ride will save you climbing stairs. The view of the Old Montreal harbour is magnificent and a breeze off the St. Lawrence is a welcome addition on a warm sunny day. You can buy sangrias by the pitcher, but we tried the Mojito De L’Auberge, a passionfruit mojito, which sounds a bit sweet but is not, and… arguably THE BEST mojito we’ve EVER HAD! Seriously. Our server Julianne was very good, and was almost able to convince management that the mojitos should be available as a pitcher, just like the sangrias. Maybe next time!

First time coming here on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 5pm. We were greeted by a woman downstairs and were given instructions on how to get to the rooftop. Once we reached the rooftop, we were immediately served by a gentleman and guided to our seats. The view was breathtaking. According to some reviews on google, the food here wasn't great. But from our experience, we really enjoyed it! We got the tacos, the lobster roll and the cheese burrata with tomatoes and toasted bread. We cleaned up our plates, it was that good. We ordered 3 cocktails and I personally liked 2 out of the 3 but still drank it all. The service was quick and efficient. Overall, I would definitely come back!

The place looked nice, so I decided to try it. However, the seating was cramped and didn’t feel open at all, which was kind of disappointing, especially since I had booked in advance. By 6:00 p.m., three of the main⁸ dishes were already sold out. Even with a small menu, that shouldn’t happen. The poke bowl was the worst. The rice was soaked in soy sauce and pretty much ruined. The corn and cucumber were really watery, which made the whole thing soggy. The service was actually nicer than I expected—it probably depends on who you get. It used to have great reviews, but something clearly changed. Too bad, because the place has a lovely view, and it feels like a wasted opportunity.

UPDATE: I called to speak to the manager and was hung up on. Is no one seriously going to respond to my review, or all the other bad reviews they received. After speaking to several business owners, we actually shouldn't have even paid for our bill with this horrible experience.

Actuall the worst experience. Aside from the view, it was horrible. The service was an actual joke. Our waiter, Alex, was slow, unprofessional, forgetful, clumsy and just not bright. He spilt drinks on my friend, and not only did he not bring us napkins, we had to ask several times and advise him that when he knocked over the pitcher of sangria on the table beside us he spilt some on us also! Even that didn't make him quick. Another friend waited over 30 minutes for a glass of wine, and he even asked her "sorry what was the drink you ordered again" A Glass Of Red Wine !!! He messed up another friends order, he didn't ask if we wanted anything else or fill our water ...and and and.... And when the bills came, they were ALL wrong. And charged my friend a bottle of Prosecco ($50) when she only had a glass. (Like When did u serve a bottle and where is our ice bucket ???) When I told him he said "oh haha that makes sense ". ...me: Does it ??? Does it really ??? Why ??? My friend ended up being sick after her beef sandwich The salads were drowning in greasy salad dressing.. and all around the food was so mediocre ! I expect great food for that price . Silly me, right. Needless to say.... I or my friends will never go back, and I will definitely advise others...

Disappointed on a day that meant everything to us !!

We visited Terrasse Sur l’Auberge on 28th june for a very personal reason—our heavenly daughter’s birthday. It was our first without her, and we had planned a quiet dinner in her memory. We had made our reservation well in advance as part of our escape trip to Montreal, hoping for a peaceful, meaningful evening. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we hoped for. Though the rain was unpredictable and understandably made things more chaotic, the way we were received was disheartening. Despite having a reservation, we were treated like walk-ins and seated in a far corner of the balcony. Only one of us had a view of the city, and while the space is understandably small, the lack of care stood out. We ordered a light meal and drinks—just a small toast in our daughter’s memory—and were immediately given the bill before we even received the food. We were warned it might rain again and were seated directly under a leaky roof. When it did rain, the water poured right over our table, soaking our food, drinks, and even my handbag. We couldn’t eat, couldn’t even sit, and had to walk out in disappointment—no one checked on us, apologized, or offered to help. It was truly upsetting on what was already an emotionally heavy day. We understand weather can’t be controlled, but kindness and care can be. Sadly, this experience left a painful mark, and we likely...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Outstanding Service & Great Food at Terrace Sur L’Auberge

I recently visited Terrace Sur L’Auberge and had an incredible experience, thanks to our amazing waitress, Florence. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly—making us feel like valued guests rather than just customers.

I ordered the pulled pork burger and the mezze appetizer, and both were absolutely delicious. The pulled pork was tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor, while the mezze plate was fresh, colorful, and full of variety—perfect for sharing (or keeping all to yourself!).

Florence went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, made great recommendations, and always checked in at the right moments without being intrusive.

Her professionalism, attention to detail, and positive energy truly elevated the entire dining experience. If you’re heading to Terrace Sur L’Auberge, ask for Florence—you...
