We visited Boston Pizza in Niagara Falls this past weekend to celebrate our 13th anniversary. It was a special occasion, and this year we brought our kids along to enjoy the day with us. While our server was friendly and attentive at the start, things went downhill once the food arrived.
The most alarming issue: we ordered chicken fingers for our 10-month-old daughter, and they were served on a used plate—it had visible sauce streaks on it, as if someone had dipped food in it already. I immediately sent it back and requested a clean plate. The food runner quickly returned with what looked like the same chicken fingers just transferred onto another plate. Naturally, I was very concerned. How does a restaurant end up serving food—especially to a baby—on a visibly used plate?
I raised the issue with our main server, who brushed it off, saying the cooks might have just tossed sauce on the plate. I tested this theory by throwing a cup of plum sauce onto a plate myself—it didn’t splatter or smear the same way. The marks on the original plate looked exactly like someone had dipped food into it multiple times with crumbs. The manager later came by and claimed fries were mistakenly placed on the plate and then removed, which again made no sense. My husband’s meal had fries too, and his plate looked nothing like that it was fresh and clean.
Aside from that, my quesadilla was not good—and not what I expected from a place like Boston Pizza. Between the questionable food handling and a disappointing meal, I told my husband I didn’t think we should pay for those two meals (mine and our daughter’s). My son and husband enjoyed their food, and we were happy to pay for those.
Unfortunately, management refused to offer any kind of credit or even a sincere apology for the dirty plate situation. Serving food to a baby on a used plate is not just unacceptable—it’s dangerous. We have no idea what the previous customer had or how long that plate had been sitting.
I left feeling upset, unheard, and worried for my child’s health. For a family-friendly restaurant, this experience was anything but.

My friends and I drove over an hour from Toronto to Niagara Falls, hoping to enjoy a nice evening. Unfortunately, choosing to dine at Boston Pizza ruined that plan entirely.
From the moment we sat at the bar, the service was shockingly rude. The tall female server spoke to us with blatant disrespect. As people of color, we couldn’t help but feel that our race played a role in the way we were treated.
We ordered a variety of items, and when our nachos arrived, she simply slammed the platter in front of us without saying a word — not even a basic “here’s your order.” It was disrespectful and dehumanizing. No one deserves to be served that way, especially after spending good money.
There was another guest beside us at the bar who reached for napkins. The same server came over and scolded him in a rude, almost threatening tone. The man looked embarrassed and uncomfortable. There are ways to communicate politely with guests, and she clearly lacked those basic skills.
Despite the poor service, we chose not to confront her at the time — we didn’t want to let her ruin our evening even further. We paid our bill, which came to over $200, and still left a tip out of courtesy. But we left feeling disrespected and unwelcome.
The food itself was fine, but it doesn't matter how good the meal is when the service makes you feel humiliated and unwelcome.
If you are a person of color, I strongly recommend avoiding this location. No one deserves to be...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Boston Pizza in Niagara Falls, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff and promptly seated in a comfortable booth with a great view of the restaurant's lively atmosphere.
The menu offered an extensive variety of options, making it difficult to choose, but we eventually decided on the Truffled Mushroom Pizza. The pizza exceeded our expectations. The pizza was perfectly cooked with a deliciously crispy crust, generous toppings, and a perfect blend of flavors. The fettuccine was creamy, rich, and packed with Alfredo pesto sauce and fresh mushrooms – simply delightful.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. She checked on us regularly, ensuring our drinks were topped up and that we had everything we needed.
The ambiance at Boston Pizza Niagara Falls is vibrant and family-friendly, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The decor is modern and inviting, and the numerous TVs broadcasting sports events added to the lively environment without being overwhelming.
