Our night start out nicely around 7ish pm when we got to the bowling alley. We had a party of 8(2 was coming late), and purchased 2 lanes. I was the only one who brought(had) bowling shoes. Everyone else rented a pair of bowling shoes (required). 30 minutes into our session, a female supervisor came by and looked at my shoes and advised me that I needed bowling shoes. I replied does these not look like bowling shoes and lift up my foot to reveal the sole just for confirmation. She replied “no, it has to be our house shoes,”. I asked why, and she just restated her statement. A friend was there at the time and over heard us .Therefore I was confused, at that time my other 2 friends came by, and so I went over to get there shoe size and change my also because I believed her. Until she came by and shouted that we only paid for 7 shoes. When I heard that I got upset she assumed that I was going to to steal that $4 rental when I had already paid almost $200 for our session with the 2 lanes. So I took off my shoe and put it on the table and asked everyone aloud.why can’t I wear my own bowling shoes. She pointed to the statement that bowling shoes are required, but I asked where does it say in house bowling shoes? And asked for proof in writing of that requirement. This , she couldn’t provide that requirement and retracted her statement say that she didn’t know I had bowling shoes on. At this point I was livid, why is she lying over this matter. Now it’s just a mere fiasco where it’s he said she said.. I walked away. My friend came by to talk to the supervisor and told her what she heard, to the female supervisor’s reply “ not this again. I could of handle things better but at that time I was embarrassed and frustrated as to why and what was going on. Why did she have to lie. I had to request to talk to a manager twice and assumed I wanted to talk to her thus further antagonizing me. A male manager came by and I explained the situation….and it just ended there. I would rate this place 0 stars instead of 1 if I could. Rude and condescending staff. Worst bowling experience ever. I came in with my family for the first time. We spend $70+ for our group, and are in the first round of bowling, when a female worker approaches us and tells us rudely that our group is too large. Confused we ask her for more info. She points out that we’re a group of 7 instead of 6. This female worker has an issue with a 3-year-old who can’t even hold a ball… who is there to cheer on her family. We mention to her she is 3-year-old and ask if their policy to separate families? She snidely remarks that an adult can leave instead. What kind of customer services asks to separate parents from their children? I’m shocked at this despicable level of customer service and am hopeful the floor manager can understand our situation. I ask to speak with the manager. Female worker rudely leaves and stops our game mid-way; completely shutting it down. It gets worse from here. Ivan whose badge reads “shift lead” and is power tripping continues to state the same “policy”. No compassion or understanding for a 3-year-old here with their family.
