We came here, because the casino had too many lineups for their restaurants and we didn't have reservations. It's a very busy place, that has both upstairs and lower. Bathrooms are in the basement. The host guided us to a table and she told us about the specials for drinks. The specials were hand printed out on a huge blackboard too. The staff was friendly. We got our drinks and menus really quickly. We ordered the fish and chips, the tacos with lettuce instead of shells and a salad. I think it was alright. I ordered a mixed drink and it was really good. Didn't taste like it had alcohol in it but yes, it was, because I was beginning to feel the affects of it. The bill came up just over $50 but that's how much it is usually at casual dining restaurants now. It's decent. I don't know if we'll be back but it's a place we may want to go again if in the area. You can see the kitchen staff cook and prep the food items on the first floor. It's open concept. We didn't go upstairs but to get there it's a long staircase up or to the bathrooms down another staircase. The drinks are great. The food was alright. The staff was nice. The host was quick. I enjoyed how we had time to sit, have a meal plus go back to the casino right afterwards for our concert in...
Read moreThis place took me by surprise. A bi-level restaurant with a slight view of the water. This place seems to be a popular place for locals and tourists alike. Staff were really attentive and friendly. But what really surprised me was the food. I tend to stay away from these chucks roadhouse/crabby Joe type restaurants unless it’s someone else’s insists. I can’t stand poor quality food…. But this place had everything done RIGHT ! 10/10. I started with the Canadian pizza. 4/5 of us really liked it. The rib meal is only 4 ribs and at first you think that’s nothing but then it comes and it’s massive. Tons of meat and all off the bone. Warning though it can be a little dry on the outside but I still liked it. It was more like a crispy coating. Was good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We had salmon, fish and chips, chicken parm, pizza, ribs and wings. Everything was good and everything was eaten up. Nothing went home with us. Only thing I would advise against is anyone with mobility issues the washroom is down a large flight of stairs. Also there’s no free parking. 10$ to use the lot next door. Other than that. We will...
Read moreWhat a great hidden restaurant on Riverside in Windsor with a great view of the Detroit River from their patio seats. We stumbled on this awesome place as we were celebrating my 49th birthday at the casino the restaurant is about 5 min walk from it. We were greeted fast by a very friendly young lady they we’re jammed packed so we had a quick 15-20 min wait at the bar Lexi was our server who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menus with great recommendations for what we wanted to eat. The owner took the time to go table to table checking on everyone which is awesome and makes this place even better. This place reminds me of our favourite restaurant in Toronto it’s laid out the same with a family friendly enjoyable experience. We all had different chicken dinners from wings to Chicken parm and bbq chicken no complaints at all. I highly recommend going here if you are planning a trip I would call ahead and see if you need a reservation yesterday might have been different as the casino show was sold out for Jeff Dunham and many people were out walking around...
