Great burger & service! Eli was exceptional with his friendliness & smile! Great location too. The Mississippi Mud Pie was so divine too! A taste of heaven! 💯 Update September 2024- Anthony was exceptional with his service today. Professional, polite & informative. The burger was simply delicious once again. I also tried the banana cream milkshake which was soooooo good too! Highly recommend! Thank you Anthony. Great job 💯 Update October 2024- Ordered Banana Pudding today & was very disappointed as the price is same but the container is much smaller than previously given. Very disappointed. You can see photos for visual reference. I complained to staff but it’s not their fault. They acknowledged that it much smaller portion too- but price point still same at $10! Not right! Update November 2024- I spoke with Manager Roven today. Very personable, professional & informative individual. I broached my concerns with the serving of the banana pudding recently & he explained the situation to me in depth. He stated that they were considering the price point & that I had valid reason for my concern in regards to portion size & price. It was very refreshing speaking to him & taking the time to explain to me. He was very open to my thoughts & opinion on the matter. I appreciated him taking the time to reassure me that my concerns were being addressed. Again, FRIDAY burgers are ONE of the BEST burgers in Toronto. You will not be disappointed in the least! Thank you Roven for your time & great service! 💯

I like the thickness of the Friday Burger ($14) patty: it’s not overly thin for a smashed burger so there’s still a meaty feel. It just needs to be pressed more evenly as the thin outer ring became awfully crunchy… to the point I was afraid I’d chip a tooth on some bits. The rich but not overly greasy patty started the burger in the right direction but could use more flavour. Mine didn’t have much sauce and the dusting of signature spices wasn’t prominent either. And while I enjoyed the traditional lettuce and tomato combination, the burger would benefit from more pickles (there was maybe one that became lost in the sandwich) and adding onions to give it some crunch and freshness. I read that what makes Friday's vegetarian burger unique is it's made from mushrooms that's dried and then rehydrated for a meatier chewier texture. Expecting it to be in a patty form, it was a bit surprising when the mushroom burger ($15) ended up being strips of portobello stuffed into the same bun, lettuce, and tomato combo. It's simple and works, but the texture no different from a grilled portobello mushroom cap. Share the fries ($4.50) as the portion is huge. Being a crinkle cut, the spud incorporated a lot of crispy crust. Sprinkled with a bit of the Sunday seasoning, it gave the fries enough flavour without becoming too salty. If you’re feeling very indulgent, amp up the fries for an extra $1 to become “Friday” fries where it’ll be topped with the mayo-based burger sauce and green onions.

Tried this place for the first time, the ambience of this place is casual but very neat and classy, there is a cute little upscale looking bar right next door, I tried the Nashville burger and omg, the meat was so tender, i was expecting more of a A&W or burgers priest sort of commercial experience but with every bite the buttermilk fried patty melted in my mouth. I had a short polite conversation with the manager Roven , who was courteous polite and answered all my questions, he was well versed with not just the food but with all the activities available around the block. Kudos !

Edited version, wrote old version that more so talked about the grilled cheese but not the other food. To start, the chicken burger was really good, nice and crispy, melty as well, and the fries were really solid and well seasoned. Everything had that melty feeling but also a solid crunch which was nice. The poutine was great too, with unique tasting gravy (celery in the broth, rather than just beef broth). The only thing that made us turned off from the place, was the grilled cheese. For 7$, we got white bread and a kraft slice. We thought maybe the white bread would be at least of better quality, but it really was just like making a grilled cheese at home. I don't think it was worth 7$, but I guess if you have picky kids, the money would be worth taking the hassle from ordering something they might not like. Overall, the chicken burger was good though. The staff were nice and quick to their feet with issues, as well as the food was made quickly. The area is very cozy, we chose a spot right in the corner and really felt like we had our own...
