Hidden Gem alert!

Happened to notice this quaint cafe opened up across from the food court at International Village Mall. The drink, sandwich and desserts/baked goods menu offered here is very diverse and ample.

On this visit, a simple order of a Chicken Sandwich* with Soup combo ($13.45) and an Iced Americano ($3.95). The Sandwich: tender chicken breast, romaine lettuce, tomato and cheese with house dresssing between grilled bread (multigraim) - honestly, one of the better cafe sandwiches I've had, very homey. The Soup: definitely not a 'throw in' for an up-sale. Homemade chicken noodle soup, so comforting. A nice lunch pair with a premium dark roasted Americano for under $20. *wraps, sandwich and panini available

They have such a varied dessert and baked goods (croffles, croissants, obanyaki cakes, puddings, macarons, sliced cakes and more!)

Their drinks menu is just as varied, offering coffees, teas, smoothies and sparkling lemonades - so much to try!

The space is calming, with light piano instrumentals in the background - a nice escape. Come in for lunch, coffee, dessert - dine in or take out. The owners are very nice and kind. Definitely worth a visit when you find yourself...

Basque cheesecake was to die for. Seriously, the best cheesecake ever made. Can't for the life of me understand why New York cheesecake is the popular one when Basque cheesecake is right there.

Drinking the affogato was a delightful experience. The espresso itself is golden, not too bitter, slightly acidic. The ice cream on top is like a delicious sweet cream that is not too sweet but just right to contrast with the coffee. This is the best priced affogato I've seen too.

I particularly also really liked the atmosphere of this place. It was so cozy, warm and comfortable. It felt elegant, but also very inviting and relaxing. Like having your own little library in your home.

I want to...

Cafe Signal, nestled in the heart of the city, offers a unique blend of modernity and comfort. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the chic, minimalist decor, combining sleek lines with warm, inviting colors. The ambience is perfect for both casual meetings and solitary work sessions. The menu is a delightful surprise, showcasing an array of artisan coffees and teas, each with a detailed description of their origin and flavor profile. The baristas are knowledgeable and passionate, making recommendations that perfectly suited my taste. I tried their signature Signal Latte, a harmonious blend of robust espresso and silky milk, with a subtle hint of caramel -...

Cafe Signal is a delightful little spot tucked away in the heart of the city. It's a true gem for those who cherish a quiet moment with a cup of coffee. The ambiance striks a perfect balance between modern and cozy, making it an ideal place for both quick meetings and leisurely afternoons. The coffee, sourced from local roasters, is exceptional – each cup brewed to perfection, with a rich and robust flavor that speaks to the quality of the beans.
