Originally I wanted to go eat at Chipotle for lunch but I arrived just a bit before noon and the line was already the door. That's how I found this gem! I ordered the Kalua Pork, Spam Musubi and received a Fresh Lemonade for free for signing up for their rewards program by providing my phone number. Overall, I would say that the flavor is on the low-key underwhelming side, if that is something you can appreciate (like I do), then you'll enjoy eating lunch here. I have never been a huge fan of pulled pork, it's usually too drenched in sauce to enjoy the protein, but here, there is no sauce to speak of, so you just get to enjoy the lovely soft texture of the animal. The portions are rather generous and perhaps it was the time I went but everything tasted fresh. This is my first time trying 'authentic' Hawaiian Spam Musubi, and surprisingly, I just wished the rice was more seasoned. The Spam tastes just the same as I would make at home. As for the lemonade, I always worry that it will be too sweet, but luckily the drink is perfectly balanced. You get a hit of sourness from the lemon, but the sweetness from the sugar cane does not overpower anything. It's perfectly, balanced. The space is lovely, very bright and open concept, tons of space for people to eat. The service is top notch.

Came here on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy. We were told by the staff to wait 10 minutes which we were fine with. We ate there. We ordered the locomoco and the ribs with brown rice. Each dish comes with macaroni and corn. The locomoco was really soft and the patty was very flavourful. The egg was perfectly cooked and did that beautiful egg pop. The ribs were fall off the bone perfect. The ribs are definitely on the sweeter side and they have a bit of smokiness to it. It went so well with the rice. My biggest regret with both dishes was the macaroni salad. It felt like it was lacking some flavour. Perfectly cooked to Al dente. But it was missing some flavour to it other than sweetness. The ribs and locomoco are sweet, the corn is sweet and so is the macaroni. I just feel like it needed something else but hey that's just me. Overall we love this place because it is super close to work. Can't wait to be back in the summer for their poke

mahalo iā 'oe !? Finally.. a fully fledged and super yummy vegan poke!! I got a Big Guy Bowl with Tofu and Ahimi Vegan Tuna, wow! Dope flavor, awesome blends and textures of unique, fresh and exciting flavors! This was super tasty and yummy, loved every bite. The Ahimi is similar in texture to Ahi, just slightly more watery. The bad news: This was my second visit to Poke Guy after a solid first impression, I love their sustainability efforts and brand image with super nice joints to grub. However, I have to be honest and was super disappointed with this visit as you can see this was way too much dressing. The Carrot Ginger Dressing was perfect on the top, but they used an abundance of Ponzu which pooled at the bottom and spoilt the taste after half way through the meal. I hate to complain but you can see from the photos it's justified. I love to support local businesses but this was a let down for me.

I came especially to try their Hawaiian plate lunch; I've never seen these on offer anywhere else in Vancouver. I got the spicy aburi tuna plate lunch. They actually torch the tuna when you order! The combination of pasta salad with rice was odd to me, I wish their was an option to use salad as the base instead of rice, but I really enjoyed this bowl. The pasta salad was great, as was the fish and the spicy mayo (it was actually pretty spicy). The pineapple was very obviously from a can and tasted a little weak. Nonetheless I would happily eat this or another plate lunch again. I also got a butter mochi. These come packaged in a plastic bag and had a bit of that packaged baked good sheen to it (sorry if this is not a universal experience and no one knows what I’m talking about) but getting past that, I have yet to find a really good and FRESH butter mochi in Vancouver and this is probably the best one I've had. It was very gooey in the middle and just a little crisp outside. The shop has ample seating and had a nice atmosphere with lots of natural light from the big windows. Very clean....
