Initially when I come in, I had not much expectation for this place. I thought probably “Just another mediocre restaurant at mediocre hotel”. You all know what I mean. Food in most Canadian restaurants are so similar that you can’t even say the difference. Same menu, same taste, just different in price. However, to my pleasant surprise this restaurant offered rather unusual, however pleasantly served and well prepared dishes. And taste was amazing. I don’t want to go as far as wondering why this place has no Michelin star, but it definitely getting close to it, especially if some cri
At very least you can definitely recognize from the first bite that this restaurant has actual chef running the kitchen, not some guy who was hired for close to minimal wage and told by owner “just google it”. At least as summer 2025 it does.
Same goes to a wine list. Whoever put it together definitely new wines well enough to get best for the cost mid-priced restaurants can afford. Selection is pleasantly surprised. What even more surprising is that waitress knew enough about wines to recommend proper pairing.
My compliments. Had awesome time. In Canada, unfortunately restaurant industry became, so tasteless and mediocre that you tend to forget that there is difference between “eating food” and “heaving a meal”. And in Bourbon street bar and grill I most definitely had...
Read moreI recently had dinner at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill and encountered some complications with the preparation of my steak. Despite requesting it to be cooked to my liking, it consistently arrived rare. This resulted in a very long waiting time, leaving my waitress understandably displeased. However, she took the initiative to voice the issue to the owner, and to my surprise, my entire dinner ended up being compensated as a gesture of apology.
Despite the initial setback, I must say that the ribs I had were amazing, and the wine selection was divine. The flavors and quality of the food truly impressed me. Moreover, what truly stood out was the exceptional service and effort demonstrated by both the owner and my waitress (although I can't recall her name). Their willingness to rectify the situation and ensure my satisfaction left a lasting impression.
Despite the rocky start to my evening, I would gladly return to Bourbon Street Bar and Grill for a meal whenever I find myself in Vernon. The commendable service, delicious food, and the genuine efforts made by the staff have earned my appreciation and trust. I am confident that any future visit will be met with the same level of care and commitment to customer...

I pointed out that my dad was pretty sure he had a bad egg was actively barfing in their bathroom and the server I told literally didn't care. She said "they're new eggs". K thx. My stomach was upset and I was nauseous later in the day as was my brother. Will not come back.
Dec 2023 - gave it 5/5 Went here for Christmas Day brunch buffet and it was absolutely lovely! We were a little hesitant but were pleasantly surprised at the offerings. The food kept coming out fresh and there was a carving station for ham and beef. Plus turkey, stuffing , mashed potatoes etc plus awesome Benny’s and other brunch fixings!
The only negatives I’d say was the Lobster Mac didn’t taste like much of anything and the benny’s were poached soft which was a little polarizing at our table
I would definitely do this again … we were full for...
