Ebeneezer’s Kebabs & Pizzeria is a Halal certified Middle Eastern and Indian chain of restaurants in Hongkong. It was established in 1993 and serves moderate range of Kebabs and Pizzas, plus Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. It has 25 outlets throughout Hong Kong. I ordered to go 1 Lamb Biryani with Salad at its outlet at G04, Wan Chai Central Building on 89 Lockhart Road to have it in my hotel room. The service was swift. The Lamb Biryani was really hot, tasty and delicious. You could taste the spices absorbed in the rice and lamb pieces. The basmati rice was perfectly cooked. The lamb pieces were tender. The mixed salad and the sauce that was smothered onto it was fresh, crispy and delicious. The portion was generous and filling. My humble opinion - I highly recommend the Lamb Biryani with Salad. Although it is tagged at HKD$99 per order, which is nearly 4 times the price tag for the same food from where I am from, it was worth the money spent.

When I flipped over the menu, I have difficulties on choosing which food I should order. The wide variety of food make me think a lot. There are pizzas, kebabs, different kind of curries (Masala, Korma) and also kebabs! We didn't order kebabs at the end because there are three of us sharing the food. It's a bit hard to share a kebab. We have ordered a 9 inch Margherita pizza, a Greek Salad and a fish Korma. The pizza is with thick thrust. Not a big fan of it. However, the fish korma was one of a kind! The creamy and yogurt taste was brilliant. It's not spicy at all which is good for non spicy eater. The curry came with a big Naan bread. The portion is big! Also, we've ordered one salty lassi and one manga lassi. They both have very rich flavour.

Manger asked for a revision to my review: The waitress specifically asked me to sign a receipt with USD total underlined without informing me that I would be charged in USD rather than HK dollars. Make it transparent to customers that you are trying to rip them off on the exchange rate! Then it will be a "fair" deal if the customer agrees to an unfavorable exchange rate (7.51 HKD/USD instead of the going rate of 7.85HKD/USD.). So, if did not protest, instead of paying USD 23.82 (HKD 187--lamb vindaloo, naan, raita, and small beer), I would have paid USD 24.87). It may not matter for customers with small bills, but who would want to pay USD 1.05 fee for the "privilege" of paying in USD? The management knows exactly what they are doing and it is a an unfair practice. Food is ok, although expensive for a place like this. What totally spoiled my experience was the moment of payment. This restaurant tries to trick foreign credit card holders to pay in their home currency at a very unfavorable exchange rate. Beware and insist to pay in HK dollars. Unfortunately, this is a global scam allowed by visa and others. But honest places don't participate in it.

Excellent restaurant serving Middle Eastern & Indian cuisine, very nice selection for dine in or take away, have been three times in four days; twice ordering chicken kebab shawarma wraps to go and once eating in a vegetable biriyani. This place is consistently good, reasonably priced, very prompt with service and has numerous locations around Hong Kong - absolutely perfect for a midnight snack as they are open late or just a quick meal on the run! There is a reason this place has so many good reviews and you will not be disappointed trying it. Also the menu is halal.

I visited the restaurant twice during my stay in Hong Kong. It was not easy to find restaurant to offer dishes with vegetables, but thanks to Ebneneezer’s, that was no longer an issue. I really enjoyed the salad with chicken. Really happy with both quality and quantity. It’s a huge bummer I had to leave Hong Kong before I could try the curry and biryani. The staff are really professional and friendly at the same time even though I dined pretty late. Definitely I’ll visit this branch again upon my next stay!

When it comes to the Middle Eastern food (shawarma, kebabs etc.), this was truly the worst I have eaten (chicken “kebab” as written wrongly on the menu which is actually chicken shawarma). Furthermore, the mango lassi was way too sweet and the soup… oh man… So watery and bland that I actually immediately returned it. In any other restaurant they would have waved it but not here. A real downer, don’t go there
