Gyujin Shabu Shabu & Sukiyaki Restaurant — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Standard beef japanese shabu-shabu style hotpot buffet. Gyujin is everywhere nowadays so surprisingly, I didn't need to wait for a seat on even a Sunday night. You go out and grab the veggies and drinks and desserts, but ask the servers for your meat. The servers have good memory so no worries they'll forget your order. But if you got an upgraded plan, be specific you want the specific grade of beef you want or they'll give you the cheapest meat by default if you just ask for "beef", or "pork".

This place has about 12 types of veggies on offer, 4 types of mushrooms, ~3-5 types of carbs and 4 flavours of ice cream for you to choose. The Japanese soy sauce soup base is great for beef so if you're single tracked on that, go for japanese soy sauce soup base. If you are more of a type that wants a bit of everything, go for the pork bone soup. Avoid the fish broth. It sounds healthy tastes...

One of my most memorable restaurants during my visit to Hong Kong! It's one of the best all you can eat hotpot restaurant. They have the best hot pot meat.

They offer a variety of different meats. The beef was higher quality, really marbled and soft. They tasted like marshmallows. They pretty much melts in your mouth. The pork slices are pretty good too. But the best thing was the beef. The service was excellent; the orders of meat came fast!

As for other hotpot ingredients, there is an open area where they are placed. It is pretty much self served. You can select your own vegetables, noodles, fish balls and etc.

There was also all you can drink, drinks and all you can eat Haagen Daz ice cream all included in the price.

Definitely recommended. It's pricey...

The service provided in this restaurant was all satisfactory. One particular aspect I liked about this all you can eat hot pot restaurant was the ice cream which seemed quite high quality to me. The food was good. Only thing I will say however is the lack of air conditioning. Considering it is a hot pot restaurant, I ended up sweating a lot therefore I hope they will fix it in the near future. The floor was also very slippery (I assume from condensation).
