What started off as a good experience ended up turning into a negative one. The food itself was nice and fresh; despite the high prices, we enjoyed our meal (although whether the quality justified the prices is debatable… but not the main point of the review).
What went wrong was when our bill came, they charged us an extra bottle of sake –that’s an extra $646 when you include 10% service charge. We informed the staff, who said they made a mistake and will sort it out. Fair enough, these accidents happen and are understandable, and we didn’t blame them. However, when the revised bill came it was still wrong, because after they deducted $646 from the bill, they added a second 10% service charge on top of the first 10% fee that was already added i.e. they added a 10% charge twice, which totals to a 21% service charge. This meant they only deducted $150 from the incorrect bill, which should be quite obviously wrong without even having to do the maths. We then explained again, and it took a lot of back and forth for them to admit or realise they made another mistake…? At one point the waitress also said she will “give us a 10% discount by removing the 10% service charge” but the thing is we were actually being incorrectly charged 10% twice. We just wanted to pay the correct and fair amount; we weren’t trying to swindle a discount out of them nor did we get one.
So whilst we enjoyed the food, our experience was soured by this, and we no longer...

Helmed by Chef Fei, who has multiple experiences working in restaurants in Japan and Hong Kong, all the dishes we tried that day, showcased his talent and passion in cooking.
