I regret choosing this place!!! Went here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and got the worst experience from a fine dining restaurant. The service was horrible. There was no one to greet us or guide us to our table, and they didn’t even bother to check our reservation. We booked a day in advance and arranged for their so-called birthday service, which included a candle on a sweet dish and a birthday song to surprise the guest. However, when I arrived and asked them, they had no idea, they were completely clueless.
Now lets move onto their service. They took our order and forgot some the items. There was literally no water served until we asked The waiter almost dropped an entire tray with food on us. We returned a dish that looked nothing like what we ordered, and when we complained, the senior waiter had the nerve to say, " I AM NOT THE ONE WHO COOKED IT" and repeated this phrase multiple times without offering SINGLE WORD OF APOLOGY. I could overlook this attitude in a casual restaurant, but this is a fine dining venue, and it felt more like I was in McDonalds Reservation and in person communication all felt like I am communicating with a fish market staff. Had 0 manners how to talk NO BIRTHDAY SONG WAS PLAYED. Don’t promise if you can’t deliver They served the birthday dessert without any utensils or plates. We literally had to ask for those! After we finished our main courses and were waiting for dessert, no one bothered to clear our plates. The tandoori chicken had zero sizzle The restaurant only has 2-3 customers wasn’t busy at all.
Keep in mind, this is a PREMIUM INDIAN RESTAURANT in Hong Kong, not just an ordinary dining spot. I have been to many restaurants, and this has been the worst experience by far. There are plenty of other establishments that offer first-class food and service—it's best to choose one of...
Read more📚Booking: I booked 2 days in advance for a Friday night (2 people) through the OpenRice app. Through the app, I was able to get a 15% off discount, which I highly recommend you do!
🪴Environment: The restaurant is dimly lit with lamps for individual tables. I went during Valentine's Day and I thought the atmosphere was perfect for it.
There are around 5-6 sofa cubicles and around 8-10 tables in the middle of the room. I found the sofa cubicle spacious and comfortable for 2 people.
🥘For 2 people, we ordered the following:
My favourite was the chicken tikka, which was sooo tender and juicy. The masala also paired perfectly with the naan. I was slightly disappointed with the chaat which I thought had too much sauce (covered the other flavours).
💰Pricing: Our total (with the 15% off) was $432 for two people, which is not cheap but reasonable for a comfy restaurant in Central.
Overall: I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I think that it has less variety of dishes compared to other Indian restaurants I've been to in HK, but the dishes I got were all delicious and well-made. Definitely more of a...
Read moreThis restaurant used to be my one of our favourite Indian restaurants and is have personally recommended many of my friends, family and colleagues but sadly Iam not going to visit here anymore and will not even recommend anyone anymore visiting here.. We had made an online reservation for last Sunday and only after arriving we find that the place was booked for a private event so naturally there was no a option for us to chose a seating for us howeve we were still ready to accommodate.. however the staff attending us was very unfriendly and rude . When we asked her if they can really cater to us given they have an event , she said it was upto us in a very cold and rude tone and turned her back !!! I wonder how people with such attitude can work in a service Industry!!! Iam appalled by such behaviour… infact now I feel I should be thankful since we ended up eating at a top notch Indian restaurant at Bombay dreams - where inspite of being so crowded, they managed to give us full attention...
