I must say that the ambiance was truly nostalgic. The decor exuded a classic American vibe that instantly transported me back in time. However, while the overall experience was pleasant, there were a few aspects that left me slightly disappointed. For my meal, I opted for a classic American burger and a chicken burger, accompanied by a side of fries and a refreshing glass of lemonade. The presentation of the food was appealing, with each item looking appetizing and well-prepared. However, when it came to taste, I found it to be rather average. The flavors didn't quite live up to my expectations, and I was left wanting more in terms of taste and seasoning. During my dining experience, I encountered an unfortunate surprise. I noticed three cockroaches crawling on the floor. This discovery greatly affected my impression of the establishment, as it raised concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. It is important for any restaurant to maintain a pest-free environment, and this issue should be addressed promptly. On a positive note, the service provided by the staff was commendable. The servers were attentive and polite, ensuring that all customers were well taken care of. Their professionalism added a touch of warmth to the overall dining experience, despite the shortcomings in other areas. The fries, however, were a letdown. They were only lukewarm and lacked the desired crispiness. Moreover, the seasoning seemed insufficient, leaving them somewhat bland. As a side dish, the fries should have been a standout element, but unfortunately, they fell short of expectations. Furthermore, the chicken in the chicken burger was slightly overcooked. It lacked the desired juiciness and tenderness, which affected the overall enjoyment of the sandwich. The flavor profile of the burger was decent, but the overcooked chicken was a noticeable drawback.

Burger Circus is a fun place for lunch in Hong Kong. Located along the intersection of Cochrane and Hollywood Road, this is a play on the train carriage themed American diners of the late 19th century, where burgers, fries and shakes are dished out to hungry diners from 11am to 11pm daily (extended hours until 3am on TH, FR and ST). What you find here are six or seven carriage style booths and a handful of bar stool seats, a menu features a handful of burger options, fries, onion rings, sodas and shakes. Service is attentive, polite and timely. My recent lunch order was ready in just over 10 minutes. During this lunch, I had the combo - American cheeseburger with bacon, fries an strawberry shake. The burger was grilled well, beef patty tasted good. Toppings were fresh and milk bun was toasted well. Fries a bit too salty for my liking but tasted fine. Would have preferred a thicker shake but what was served was similarly fine. In the end, the dining environs are really neat at Burger Circus and the burgers are pretty good. Prices are more expensive than your McDonalds and Shake Shack varieties but what is served up is noticeably better quality so it all works out in the end.

It’s been far too long since I last visited Burger Circus, but I knew I had to drag myself here again to try their monthly special. The combo set with this was absolutely delicious! Yummy fries to munch on, and the Vanilla Coke is definitely not like regular coke, even though I’m not a big soft drinks-kind or person. The Reuben Smash Burger was as tasty as it looked! WAY thicker than I expected it to be, and same applies to their other burgers here - don’t be fooled by photos because their burgers here are perfectly filling. Delicious beef and the burger stayed perfectly warm. Loved every single bite of it and staff here were also very friendly. Fantastic service and of course, always love the 60s-inspired/retro diner feel of the interiors. While they’re definitely on the pricier side, the freshness and quality of the beef is definitely what you pay for. Lovely burger joint in the heart of bustling Central - would recommend if you don’t mind splurging a little for a tasty burger.

Great place for a good quality burger that doesn't ask for more than what it's worth. Unlike another popular burger joint that I've been to (Five guys), this mid-to-high price range burger joint proves that it's burgers are definitely worth the price.

The patties are all done medium well, almost too juicy, but you get used to it the more you visit. The size of the burgers aren't overwhelming, a bite usually fits comfortably in your mouth. The cheese, oh my god the cheese in these burgers are the best I've had so far. I took a bite out of an American cheeseburger here and the cheese tasted amazing and had a stretchy consistency akin to pizza cheese. Definitely something I haven't seen yet, or maybe I just haven't checked out enough burger joints.

Anyway, time for the rest of the menu. Price-wise, I'm a little iffy about them. They're great, but some of them cost a little too much than what they look like they're worth. Taste-wise, absolutely no faults. The circus fries are great, the jalapeño poppers are also a good side, the milkshakes taste amazing, especially the red velvet milkshake, which I believe is only served in February every year along with red velvet cake. But honestly, when comparing the price of sides and desserts to the price of the burgers, they cost about 1/3rd to half the price of a burger, so it does make sense in that respect.

The service is pretty normal, nothing to complain about. The staff are dressed neatly, polite, and keep the dining area clean. The decor, lighting and music in here sets a nice vibe to the whole place without being distracting.

All in all, I give this place five stars as dining here is a satisfying and...

After the waitress took our order, she forgot to input it into the register. When we chased for our drink 20 minutes later, she said she checked with her colleague and we had never placed an order! I had to point out that she was the person I ordered with, she checked her notepad and said "oh that's right". She then said she would ask kitchen staff to prepare our order urgently, and it would take "5 minutes".

Well, it became around 25 minutes worth of "a few more minutes", but in the meantime a dozen fresh burgers came out which were all put into takeout bags for delivery.

When the burgers finally arrived, the waitress told us 30 seconds later that they had made a mistake and they had given us the wrong burger, and wanted to take it away! By this time we were so hungry we had started eating already so we just stuck with it (we ordered two American cheeseburgers but were served one cheeseburger and one veggie burger).

And a minute after that, the waitress came by again and said the kitchen had prepared our order twice by mistake, and asked if we wanted more tater tots and burgers ... We declined though as it would be too much food.

We were comped free fries and extra drinks, but the experience was bad and it was clear that the system was disorganised. A table of 5 that arrived before us also waited a very long time for their food, their order was not fully completed until shortly before we got our own burgers.

It's also clear the restaurant prioritizes the takeaway meals more than the dining in customers. We will not...
