I never expect amazing service from cha chaan tengs cos I know how busy & stressful the environment is, but this one lady was rly something else. We queued a while for our seats & there was clearly a table for four people, but she decided to split us up in twos & let three people sit on the table, even when we insisted that we could fit & didn’t mind the tight space. After a lot of back & forth & being in the way, another lady came to save us & found another table for us.

Apart from the mishap above, generally enjoyed the food. The char siu macaroni was well flavoured, the corned beef sandwiches were well cooked & fluffy, & the satay pineapple bun had the good amount of sauce & flavour (some places drench the bun in satay sauce which is over kill). & of course the main reason for coming here was for the Hong Kong milk tea! Yup, it rly is delicious & smooth. You can even see the award winning master at work - pretty friendly too. I even bought another three bottles (32$ each) to take out as gifts, though the take out ones were a tad bit too sweet because the sugar was already added.

Would probs avoid coming during peak times because the queuing system is...

This iconic Hong Kong tea house is simply exemplary.

These days, there are longer and longer queues waiting in line to sample their delights.

And no surprise....delightful delights they are too.

The queues are justified not just by the AI algorithm, but by the absolute quality of the food and attention to detail.

Of course the HK Milk Tea is famous...and deservedly so.

And for me, the boneless HaiNan Chicken is truly exceptional. Very, very delicious. Very tender. Very moist, and the ginger and scallion sauce is....well....just fabulous! But it sells out very quickly...so you have to be early....

The Laoban and staff are always cheerful and welcoming. The quality of the food, and the presentation is quite remarkable. The price is very, very reasonable given such high quality ingredients and care.

Yes, it is small and quite cramped when its busy....but that's part of its unique heritage....it's a fabulous traditional Hong Kong tea house... so enjoy! I do!

Thank...

☕️ When it comes to a classic cup of 🇭🇰 Hong Kong Milk Tea, one of the most well-known Cha Chaan Teng for such would be Lan Fong Yuen in Central that’s famous with long queues of tourists.. it was however not until recently where a friend introduced me to a just as wonderful gem of a place serving not only an excellent award winning cup of 🇭🇰 Milk Tea, but also a few other amazing dishes coming out of this crowded tiny shop in Wan Chai..

🥪 Aside from “My Cup Of Tea’s” famed silk-stocking milk tea, I was absolutely intrigued and then blown away by their Triple Eggs Sandwich that’s made with coriander (the menu says parsley, must have been a case of lost in translation).. what are the “triple” eggs? - your usual fluffy 🇭🇰 styled scrambled eggs but now mixed with salted eggs and century eggs.. 😋 .. And then there’s their Braised Beef Brisket that’s absolutely flavourful with a right balance of sweetness that pairs so well with rice… so so good,...

Heard about this place for a while but haven't had a chance to visit until recently. Like its name suggests, their tea is definitely 'my cup of tea'. The milk tea that I've ordered was rich and creamy! Food wise, very tasty but the portions are terribly small. Although all the items on the menu is cheap but when you have to order at least 2 portions (or more for me) to fill your appetite, this place can't be considered as cheap eat. Satay beef sandwich - tasty satay beef mixed with semi runny scrambled egg oozing out from the bread was so satisfying Barbecue pork and sunny side up egg with rice - although the portion is tiny, it comes everything that a Hong Kong styled bbq pork rice should have; few slices of succulent bbq pork, runny egg, veggie and rice. Poke the runny egg yoke and you'll have a bowlful of rice with egg on every bite! However, seating is too tight and it's not ideal especially under the pandemic situation.
