This charming little restaurant, nestled in a central location, offers a bright and inviting atmosphere. The open kitchen and attractive bar contribute to its pleasant ambiance. The décor, seemingly art deco-inspired, is stylish yet understated, with only five or six tables.

Food: Having arrived for lunch, we each selected a single dish: their signature burger and the signature octopus dish. The burger was delicious, though the patty was slightly dry, lacking the desired juiciness. This dryness was somewhat compensated for by the generous additions of fresh vegetables and a flavorful sauce (a touch more sauce would have been ideal). The patty itself was undeniably flavorful, with a rich, meaty taste and no discernible gristle. The perfectly crisp and well-seasoned fries showcased the chef's skill. The octopus, described on the menu as tender and melt-in-your-mouth, unfortunately, didn't quite live up to expectations. While still reasonably tender, it required some effort to chew, especially in the denser parts, and I ultimately left some uneaten. The accompanying garnish and sauce, however, were exceptional. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, slightly yielding with a satisfyingly crisp exterior. The sauce itself was beautifully balanced, sweet and savory, with a delightful peppercorn kick. Despite these positives, the octopus itself proved a minor disappointment.

Service: The service was superb; as the only diners present, we received attentive and personalized service. However, a simple inquiry about our satisfaction with the meal would have been a nice touch. The food arrived within a reasonable 20 minutes, perfectly acceptable for a main course.

Conclusion: This restaurant is a great option for a quick and tasty lunch. While a couple of minor culinary missteps slightly marred the experience, our overall lunch was enjoyable. Orka is a Swedish themed restaurant with a health and wellness menu concept on Wyndham Street in Central. They have a fair sized indoor seating area and you can do take-away and delivery in the area as well.

We had lunch here for the first time recently and were very happy with the meal. The Chipotle Pumpkin Burger was very good. Pumpkin & rolled oats patty topped with halloumi, guac and sauerkraut served with a Maca infused bun was very tasty. Served with very nicely fried sweet potato fries, this was a hearty, delicious alternative the classic beef burger. They have several other creative, healthy burger types on the menu that we'd be interested in trying as well.

Perhaps better than the burger was Orka's power pocket. Order method is standard if you're familiar with vegetarian salad & wrap places but staff can help you out if you need. Choose your size, style, base, theme, sauce + add ons. We tried the half size, pita pocket, half&half, superfood supreme. It was an excellent order with delicious ingredients and a much larger portion size than anticipated. We both loved the superfood supreme and would gladly reorder as a wrap or pure salad next time around. Would be interested in trying their other options in this menu page as well.

Very pleased with both mains, we decided to try a slice of carrot cake for dessert. Again, very impressed with what was served. Perfectly, moist, soft, fluffy carrot cake with delicious flavour and buttery but not overly sweet icing. This was delicious, up there with the best carrot cake we've come across here in HK over the past couple of years.

In the end, this was a great lunch, about as good as we could have expected. Service was polite, timely and friendly while food served was healthy, creative and genuinely very good. We left with full bellies, smiles and much interest in returning sooner than later for another...

A Birthday Surprise to Remember!

This weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting Orka for a birthday surprise organised by my wife and our friends. From the moment we walked in, the staff made our experience truly unforgettable.

The atmosphere at Orka was warm, inviting, and perfect for a celebration with close friends. The tasteful decor and comfortable seating arrangements created a setting that allowed us to focus on the company and the delicious food.

The food at Orka was nothing short of exceptional. Their diverse menu offered a variety of dishes that catered to all tastes and preferences, leaving our group spoiled for choice. Being a vegan there was ample choice for me. Each dish was expertly prepared, with flavours that were well-balanced.

Service

The staff at Orka went above and beyond to make our lunch special. They were attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout. And as if the amazing food and wonderful company weren't enough, the staff presented me with a personalised birthday card, adding an extra touch of thoughtfulness to the occasion.
