Bistrocity — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Dinner experience only. One of the three food Outlets available at the city hall building, ideal for pre show dining. Offers mixtures of mostly western food with one or two rice option through its set menu (no Al-la-cart available), set menus are fixed at either HK$198 or $298 both are 4 course without any drinks. Course consists of starter, soup (only soup of the day for the cheaper set, with the option to change to clear mushroom truffle broth), a main and a desert. Relatively speaking the cheaper set is great value unless you want the nicer main of steak or +$50 for half a cheese baked lobster). Dessert consists of ice-cream with a hk style egg pancake(?) 雞蛋仔, which is kids favourite.

There's no kids only menu but no minimum charge or order per person. There's no vegetarian options.

Expect to be busy at evenings before theatre shows of 7pm. Think reservation is possible. Not sure...

It’s a maxim group outlet so the atmosphere is quite okay. However, the dishes are poorly, made. The food quality is okay., but the soup was at room temperature when it was being served. And when ask to be replaced, the waiter says it is warm, which was clearly not the case. I ordered a ribeye steak and ask for medium rare, and it came out to be well done. When I order the set dinner, the staff asked me if I want white soup or Red soup, which is a short form for cream soup and borsch if you’re visiting a very low end Restaurant.

It is really sad to see Restaurant quality like this to be operating in one of the most recognised theatre in Hong Kong.

在中環這個繁忙的商業中心之內有著一處隔絕繁囂的文化綠洲…大會堂，歷年來為港人帶來不少藝術音樂心靈之旅。

最近就走訪了一間新落戶在內的餐廳 【Bistrocity】，小店獨特之處是在供應美食的同時，亦會為本地藝術家提供展覽和表演空間，藉以推廣文化藝術發展。

🔹小店裝潢時尚中帶西式典雅，一列落地玻璃窗遠眺大會堂外的綠油油一幽靜美景，用餐環境舒適自在，讓都市人繁忙之中偷閒一下。

🔹餐廳主打融合中西文化、重新演繹的傳統港式滋味，就像滑嘟嘟煎蛋叉燒飯、沙爹牛肉煲仔麵、芫茜叉燒蛋菠蘿包和原味雞蛋仔等經典港味美食，當然亦少不了香港馳名的絲襪奶茶和雪糕紅豆冰，為大家回味一些本土的集體回憶。

🔹支持本地藝術創作，以美食為鑰匙開通一條藝術通道，為本地藝術家提供平台展示作品，客人在嚐味之餘同時亦能欣賞到琳琅滿目的展品，讓創作者的藝術與美食聯繫起來，形成一個充滿著文藝氛圍的聚腳點。
