Freshy Fishy Hot Pot Hub — Restaurant in Kowloon

Wanted to try Hong Kong traditional style hot pot but not many have left after the pandemic. Or maybe I cannot locate from google or food recommendations blogs. Saw this hot pot shop during my search and noticed with good reviews. So decided to give it a try. It is not located in the prominent location, need to observe carefully if you are around the area. It is a lever down from the Main Street. Nice decorations and greeted by a courteous lady. Although it do not have a huge list, but going through the items is tedious. Ordered Chicken Soup based and dishes for hot pot. Duck and pig blood is a must if your stomach able to take it. Not many country has this anymore. The lady is nice to come back to us when she noticed our order. She took out some dishes and advice me to take either 1 blood. So I choose duck. The soup is excellent! Very well flavoured and if I’m not wrong, there is a distinct chicken essence added. The chicken soup itself have lots of ingredients. The Angus slice beef is also another must have. Fresh and not too beefy. Prawn paste is so rich that you can taste the prawns. Although we did not order a lot, the servings are very generous. Total damaged HKD 1200 plus..

The food is fresh and there are variety of choices. Finally we paid $3xx per head. However, when we used credit card for the payment, they said their machine didn’t print out the bill and confirmed that they didn’t charge us. Then, we used another credit card but same situation happened. At last we paid in cash. After we went back to home, we checked the transaction with the bank and it showed that we had transferred the payment. That means we paid the restaurant 3 times (2 credit cards + cash). So ridiculous!!! There are many follow-ups...

The environment is nice. Service is good despite they always forgot to fill drinking water for us after requesting.

I love the variety of spices. Rarely get so many options. The sesame and shallot oil are great spices that's rarely seen.

The food overall is good but not amazing or excellent.

Washroom tidiness needs much improvement. Used toilet paper around the floor. Should have garbage can with lid. Feel that I want to leave the washroom as soon as possible and only 1 shared stall for...
