WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
I made a reservation through the Dining City app for the restaurant week promotion. When I booked on Thursday, there were still approximately 10 seats available. Upon arriving, I was surprised to find that I was assigned to a two-person table located in a high traffic area.
I waited for more than half an hour for Manager Daniel to address the situation. Unfortunately, he was being arrogant and disrespectful the whole time and our interaction was disappointing. He explained that the seating was allocated based on the timing of bookings, which raised further questions for me. Given that there were still seats available when I booked, it seems either the system was not updated in real time, or subsequent bookings were mismanaged. I asked for an explanation regarding this but was unable to receive a valid reason from him. I was then later informed of a glitch that delayed updates from the Dining City app, resulting in unfair seating arrangements for those who booked through the app.
Daniel's demeanor during our conversation was also concerning. He instructed me not to interrupt him when I responded briefly, and his comment that โcustomers do not DICTATE the seating allocationโ felt unnecessarily harsh. I was not trying to dictate but rather to express my concerns about fairness. I was simply seeking a more suitable table, rather than a specific preference eg window seats.
I also observed two empty tables during our visit and a third one which became available shortly after we arrived (also when we left, we noted the other side of the restaurant was completely empty). A more flexible approach from Daniel could have significantly improved our experience. Itโs disheartening to feel that our concerns were not addressed in a manner befitting a high-class restaurant.
I had hoped for a wonderful experience, especially with the possibility of returning for dinner. However, this has been one of my most disappointing dining experiences.
