Hidden Gem Clay Pot Rice in Mong Kok, HK!

While wandering near Langham Place, I stumbled upon this Cantonese eatery loved by celebrities – total foodie heaven!

The Seafood & Abalone Set (HK$300+ for 2) stole the show, even including their signature clay pot rice – unbeatable value!

Must-Try Dishes:

Steamed Scallops with Garlic & Vermicelli (4pcs): Juicy, thick scallops; garlic aroma & savory vermicelli – my top pick!

Steamed Dalian Abalones with Tangerine Peel (2pcs): Plump, chewy abalones with a fresh citrusy hint – rich but not greasy.

Spicy Wine-Braised Conch: Big, crispy conch pieces infused with mild spiciness – so tasty I licked my fingers!

Stir-Fried Greens: Simple but perfect – crispy, wok-fragrant, and cuts through the richness.

Clay Pot Rice Highlight:

We got eel + preserved meat combo. It arrived with intense rice aroma, piled high...

A very local restaurant that serves stir fry and clay pot rice. The clay pot rice is a must have. It is very well cooked with a layer of slight burnt rice at the bottom is absolutely scrumptious. The stir fry offerings are quite wide, from regular veggie, meat and seafood. All up to standard, not oily and not with a lot of msg.

The prices are very reasonable. Owners run it themselves are totally a lovely and passionate and proud team. Don’t expect to have outstanding decor or seating but a very grounded and down to earth one that can certainly feel what Hong Kong...

Friendly and excellent food. Reading the Kanji and ordering your food is definitely challenging if you don't read Chinese. But no worry if you're just like me coz the staff are extremely helpful. Asked and you will be given an English version and with recommendations too. Besides Clay Pot rice there are other "order to cook" food. Regardless of the type of food you order, you will be served with a delicious herbal soup at no extra cost. Food is delicious and fairly cheap. If you are in Mong Kok, this is a place you...
