Outdark offers an exceptional dining experience that perfectly blends delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for youngsters to hang out. Here's a breakdown of the dishes we tried:
Fresh Strawberry Yogurt Refreshing and light, this drink is a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. The use of fresh strawberries combined with yogurt creates a creamy yet invigorating flavor, and the option for "Less Ice" ensures the drink remains rich and satisfying.
Hot Earl Grey Tea A classic choice for tea lovers, the Earl Grey is served perfectly warm and aromatic. Its subtle citrus notes and smooth flavor make it an excellent companion to the heavier dishes on the menu.
Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup (Jjamppong) This dish is a standout! The broth is rich, spicy, and packed with bold flavors, while the seafood adds a fresh and hearty touch. The noodles are cooked to perfection, making every bite a delight. It’s a must-try for fans of Korean cuisine.
Butter Flavored Beef Bulgogi The beef bulgogi is tender, juicy, and infused with a buttery richness that elevates its flavor profile. The marinade is well-balanced, offering a mix of savory and slightly sweet notes. It pairs wonderfully with the Ssam (lettuce wraps).
Ssam (Korean Lettuce) Fresh and crisp, the lettuce wraps provide a refreshing contrast to the heavier dishes. They’re perfect for wrapping the beef bulgogi or fried chicken, adding a healthy and crunchy element to the meal.
Half Size Chicken (Boneless 250g) Original Fried The fried chicken is golden, crispy, and absolutely delicious. The boneless pieces are easy to eat, and the seasoning is spot-on, offering a flavorful experience without being overly greasy.

Read moreIf you’re looking for a culinary adventure that combines comfort, flavor, and a bit of theatrical flair, look no further than the Korean Style Cheese Chicken served in a sizzling black hot pan. From the moment it arrives at your table, the aroma is intoxicating, drawing you in with promises of melting cheese and savory chicken. The star of the show is undoubtedly the chicken, perfectly cooked and generously coated in a luscious layer of gooey cheese. Each piece is enveloped in a cheesy embrace that enhances the tender meat, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully. It’s a delightful experience as you pull apart the chicken, revealing the stretching strands of cheese that wrap around each morsel, making every bite a cheesy delight. Accompanying this cheesy goodness are delightful sides that elevate the dish even further. The Korean egg, soft and fluffy, provides a rich contrast to the crispy chicken and creamy cheese. The kimchi adds a refreshing crunch and a spicy kick that cuts through the richness, while the seaweed rice offers a nutty flavor and a satisfying texture. The small sausages are a fun addition, adding another layer of flavor that complements the overall dish.
Next up, the Black Bean Sauce Noodles are a true testament to Korean comfort food. The noodles are incredibly chewy, delivering a satisfying texture that makes each bite a joy. Tossed in a rich, savory black bean sauce, the noodles are coated perfectly, allowing the deep flavors to shine through. The addition of vegetables adds a nice crunch and freshness, balancing the dish beautifully.
To complement these hearty dishes, the freshly blended blueberry yogurt drink is a refreshing choice. Creamy and slightly tart, it’s the perfect palate cleanser between bites. The vibrant blueberry flavor is not overpowering, making it a delightful accompaniment to the meal.
For something a bit more refreshing, the grapefruit soda with small pieces of aloe at the bottom is a standout. The grapefruit flavor is bright and invigorating, with a pleasant tartness that’s balanced by the sweetness of the soda. The small pieces of aloe add an interesting texture and a subtle health boost, making this drink both...
Read moreA casual, but somewhat authentic Korean fried chicken restaurant, perfect for a high calorie cheat meal.
Outdark has several branches in, and outside of Korea. This is one of them. The restaurant itself has a pretty laid back, and dimly lit "pocha" like atmosphere. Seats, and tables were spacious by Hong Kong standards. The restaurant was very clean.
Of course, we ordered the Korean Fried Chicken (honey garlic), and the seafood ddeokbokki. The former was boneless, and was served with fries and wedges. The chicken was juicy, and not too sweet. Not the crispiest I have had, but that does not really take away many points from the overall quality, and satisfaction. The latter came with creamy corn cheese which paired incredibly well with the spicy sauce as well as the seafood ingredients, neutralising some of the spice.
The staff were very accommodating, and even allowed us to top up the corn cheese once for free.

Taken together, not the best KFC I have had, but definitely worth a visit, and definitely...
