Gaia Veggie Shop (Tsim Sha Tsui) — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Extremely disappointed! Poor hygiene! Bad service!

Went there for dinner last Sunday. Dumplings were so so. The brown fungus (shown in pic) was not heated up and still frozen when served.

Whilst we were waiting for kitchen to re-heat the fungus dish, some noise came from the back of the larger seating area at back of the restaurant. Then we saw a chef and 3 staffs chasing after a rat! The rat, much threatened, jumped onto our sofa seat and turned 2 rounds of 360 degrees on left of my seat. Then the rat jumped onto my left thigh and reached the ground! It soon passed a table near the entrance of the shop. The chef and the staffs further ran after the rat and went outside the shop. On return, the staffs notified us (while we were still sitting in shock) that the rat had already left the mall.

The staffs had no explanation as to why they chase after the rat and made the rat run everywhere in the first place, nor did any of the staff made apology to the customers. No action had been take to clean after the area affected by the rat appearance (not even the sofa that we sat on!) We had to made our own move to another table. At the time, the staffs behaved like as if it is “normal” to see a rat had run about crazily in the restaurant! They even made us paid the food bill in full price!...

Went for dinner around 8pm. At first the waitress kept telling me many items are not available, but eventually found some dishes they did have.

The food came quickly and was tasty, and a good size for sharing.

Before I had finished I was brought the bill. As I was still eating I added cash to it and left it, and a waitress collected it. When I had finished eating I was still waiting for my change when another waitress came and asked me to pay. I explained I had already paid but she didn't understand me and kept asking me to pay in different ways. She asked her boss to come who also kept arguing with me when I explained I had paid. Eventually we went to the hostess stand where they found my money...

i have a lot to say about this place. first off all, it is so hard to find i was struggling for 30 minutes bc there are no signs. IT IS IN THE MIRA PALACE MALL L2 (keep walking around that area and you’ll eventually find it). service is terrible, i was standing outside for a good 10 minutes. they auto gratuity themselves 10% and charge $12 for tea and appetizer (edamame). tried to say i don’t want it and didn’t eat it but they charged me anyway. they also charge to pack up your food/take away (bring your own box). the food itself was mid and not worth the...
