There’s nothing more relaxing than a cold cocktail after get off work on a Friday. After get off work today, my husband and I went to this newly opened Thai bar for happy hour and tried Thai-style cocktails.
This Thai terrace bar located in the city center is undoubtedly a shining pearl in the city.
When my husband and I stepped onto the bar terrace, the first thing we saw were the snow-white chairs and umbrellas, which made us feel like we were instantly transported to a seaside town in Thailand. Warm lights and gently swaying gauze curtains add a sense of laziness and coziness to this terrace. The most amazing thing is that the bar is located on a high-rise building in the city center. Whether it is day or night, the view here is refreshing.
Service-wise, this bar is also top-notch. The waiters are very professional and very welcoming. They recommended the most suitable cocktail according to your taste and explain in detail how to make each drink.
I started with the Thai Mojito, a cocktail that cleverly combines Thai spices with the refreshing taste of a classic mojito. The coolness of mint is perfectly blended with the sweetness and sourness of lemon, coupled with the hint of lemongrass, it makes you feel like you are on a beach in Thailand, feeling the sea breeze on your face.
The Negroni my husband ordered was a stronger cocktail. The bittersweetness of Campari meets the spiciness of juniper berries, and the unique flavor of Thai spices makes this cocktail rich in layers and endless aftertaste. A glass of it seems to dispel all fatigue and make you full of energy again.
Both cocktails are perfect to enjoy in a Thai restaurant, especially on this beautiful outdoor patio with soft lighting. The ambience of this Thai terrace bar is really great! Highly recommended to anyone who loves Thai culture and cocktails. Here, you can enjoy Thai style and urban prosperity. Whether with lover, gathering with friends, or enjoying leisure time alone, it is an...
Read moreWe can’t wait for summer holiday to head back to Thailand so we booked this place today to get our thai stomach ready.
This place is nicely decorated and it is a good choice for dating, given all the private seats and areas it has.
We started with our drinks. Mine is a mock-tail with Lychee, Mint and Passionfruit . It was a very refreshing blend. The passionfruit stands out but it doesn’t take over the scent of the mint.
The other drink is a coconut smoothie. It is perfect for eating spicy food. The coconut is cut with fresh slices.
We liked the TongYum Soup a lot. It gives a strong blend of tomato soup so it was not as spicy as we expected, which was a good news. The seafood inside was impressive. The mussel was huge and the octopus was chewy and irresistible.
The red tofu is a must try. It gave a crunchy surface to the soft tofu inside. The red colour contrasts well with the white inside.
Chicken Satay was vey soft and marinated well. Unlike other thai restaurants giving a tiny piece of meat, this restaurant was providing a generous piece of chicken for meat lovers.
The pineapple fried rice was massive. This was a size for at least 3 people. All toppings go well with the pineapple fried rice so it gave different layers and textures to the dish.
For seafood lover, the wheat crusted shrimps is like the salted egg shrimps. Inside it was very juicy and light, while the outside was covered by all necessary flavours.
As for the dessert mango rice, we enjoy the big scoop of mango ice cream. The rice was very warm so it created two feelings on the dessert, when...
Read moreWe are in TST to run some errands so we browsed around in goggle to see if there are new places for us to try in the area. Came across Mue Mue from the list of new shops on the Mira place website and decided to give it a try.
Called to make a reservation for our party of 7 and have been told we have to sit outside. They called us back quickly and say they can move us to inside in the private room if we don’t mind being a little crowded, which we gladly accepted.
Plating is definitely the strength for this place as everything is photogenic, we loved the salads and the sticky rice. The skewers and fried veggies are also super tasty. Less spicy may still be a little too much kick for some, but I personally enjoyed the spice level. I also loved the iced Thai tea, something that I will order again for sure. The only plate we don’t really enjoy is the pineapple fried rice, which can use a little more flavour.
Overall, we love the vibe and the services offered at Mue Mue, Thank you for this...
