I got in late (11pm) to my hotel, Click Clack, in bogota, Colombia. I needed a place to eat and the hotel staff recommended that I try their rooftop bar which was open until midnight on a Friday. The music was loud, the drinks were flowing and tasty and the food was yummy and on point. I wanted only one drink and ended up with a few of the Apache margaritas since I was having so much fun. They definitely helped me sleep. I also had the beef loin sandwich which hit the spot. Perfect portion and I was so surprised how fresh and yummy it was. Best of all the staff were all super friendly and tried their best to make me feel at home with their as much English as possible. Read moreI'm not sure if the owner will see this or even care. But this is a warning to all African American travelers. There is a huge noose hanging as a decorative "something or other" from the window.
I get that this isn't America and that some foreign countries may not know the history and torment that African Americans have endured behind the noose. But as a black man, seeing a noose hanging anywhere as decoration is beyond disturbing.
Unfortunately, my Spanish isn't good enough to have had a conversation with any of the staff there to explain what the noose symbolizes to black Americans. Hopefully, someone will be able to read this review via Google Translate and...

Its decor has hundreds of details which along with the small size makes it very cozy!
