DANGEROUS ENCOUNTER, PLEASE READ!! Me and my girlfriend came here on January 25th around 11:30pm and initally had a great time trying the cocktails and the food. However it went downhill very fast. TWO black men, who seemed to have close connections with the management at this bar, were secretly taking photos of all the women who came alone to the bar. The two black guys would motion for the manager, whisper into his ear, and magically they would be moved directly to a table next to vulnerable women. THEY NEVER ORDERED ANYTHING FROM THE MENU, they simply both pulling out their phones and acted like they were texting. I began to watch them closely because I got a VERY BAD feeling that something was not right. When the girls were distracted, they would quickly switch to the camera app on their phones and zoom in on a girl and take multiple photos. They would do this for EACH woman. The next part is more disturbing. The two black men, after taking photos, would then send the photos to a message group on WhatsApp(I recognized the app because i was only sitting ten feet away secretly watching them).They were extremely careful to not attract any attention and I now believe i was the only one to know the shady operation that was occurring! I noticed they did not work alone. About three other men, also seeming to have close connections to the management of the bar, were seating at random parts of the bar and acted as “watchmen”. At this point i was terrified that it could potentially be a sex trafficking scheme where they photograph attractive vulnerable women and follow them once they leave the bar drunk. The scariest moment was when the two black guys magically got a table next to me and my girlfriend shortly afterwards, with the help of the waiters, and I SAW ONE OF THE BLACK MEN TAKE PHOTOS OF MY GIRLFRIEND, while pretending to be talking on the phone. I immediately got enraged and wanted to confront the men but my girlfriend was frightened and reminded me that if i confronted them I could possibly get into a very dangerous situation. I immediately ran to get the bill paid and closely escorted my girlfriend out of the bar as quickly as we could. Nice little tourist trap but well worth the visit. The prices are a bit high in some cases and you can be waiting for drinks a little bit long sometimes - though that is quite common in Colombia, everyone is just relaxed so get used to it. The selection is fantastic, lots of imported and local alcohols.

The staff are great and really friendly, always patient with non-locals and the place is kept clean and they take your orders promptly and always with a cheerful smile and chat.

The atmosphere is great, like a little lord of the rings or jumanji thing going with all the plants and trees. A real tranquil escape in the madness of the city. Though the music and videos on the screens don't particularly match the feel sometimes, I would prefer a more local and calm vibe from it, at least the volume outside is not intrusive.

Fully recommended to go in for a drink, a nice welcome to the city and even try the nice food, I really loved the Park 37 burger and Rosemary Chicken. Though the nachos look really...

37 Park is a calm, yet festive restaurant located at the corner of Calle 37 8A-4 in the Poblado commune of Medellín, Colombia. I stumbled upon here after asking a trusted locals where where to get dinner for the night. Locals usually know what’s up, so I took the suggestion.

No regrets here. The Tennessee Park satisfied my cocktail craving. Orange and cranberry juice mixed in with my favorite whiskey. Look how the Jack splashed after the first sip.

For appetizers, I tried the Empanadas and the Paisa Corn Arepa. The Paisa Corn Arepa was crazy! Homemade cornmeal, stuff with cheese and shredded beef…man. Adding that cheese sauce to it…just wow. The empanadas were great too!

For my entree, I had a rib craving and these hit the spot. So delicious. 600 grams of smoked, tender, quality meat on that plate. Enough to take a few home for that late night/early morning meal.

37 Park was awesome! I may even make it back during my stay. So many to choose from, but I’m glad...
