I have been to many coffee shops around the world and this place needs better management. We arrived at 11am today and our waitress said the kitchen was closed and they were not serving breakfast, we had to ask her to please ask the chef if he can make us breakfast instead of her making the suggestion. The menu should say that breakfast is served only to a set time and would of helped us decide to eat elsewhere. Our waitress was not friendly, she was rude and also forgot my pastry. When she brought my girlfriend her alfajore it was in a plastic package, which at the time she did not want it because she thought it was freshly made so she changed her mind, the waitress answered “ that’s what I told you, it came in a package.”The waitress had no customer service skills. When we were done eating, I had to walk up to the front and ask for our check. I tried to pay with my American Express and it was not accepted, I understand it may have higher credit card fees for the merchant but I wasn’t even given a paper recipient. The cashier asked for my phone number and said it will be sent via text. This was not a good way to start off our trip...
Read moreWe have been in Colombia 2 weeks , from Bogota all the way to Cartagena & every hotel we stayed ( all 5 stars ) the Coffee was beyond bad . So , everyday we would go to a coffee shop for a cappuccino or a late and the best we had in 2 weeks in all the cities we have been was here , at Cafe Jesus Martin in Salento . The flavor is WOW & the aftertaste is amazing . I wish I can have this coffee everyday. We bought 6 bags of coffee & hope at home our cappuccino or late will taste as good . It is sad that people rate this shop low because they can not stay there the whole day to use the WiFi ! Really ? This is a place where you come & get a coffee & food not expect to use it the whole day as an office . I would be embarrassed to even mention that ! I wish the person who served us were more friendly and smiling! P.S. Since I posted the review I opened & used the coffee I bought here and it is as AMAZINGLY good as in the shop . We have the espresso machine Rancillio Silvia & the cappuccino & lates were to die for . We feel so lucky we can still enjoy this coffee. We are looking into how we can order this to be...
Read moreOne of the worst employees we got in Colombia. We went to Jesus Martin after asking in more than 10 different places if there was wi-fi... this was one of the only places in Salento with good connection and we really needed to work. It was empty, we sat and asked for coffee, then as people started arriving and filling more tables, we asked for food and desert. We stayed there the whole day, but the employee was always making us feel bad for being there. The next day I arrived and asked if we could have breakfast and he answered "yes but you cannot stay all day". Rude, arrogant, patronizing... and the place was sooooo cold, we were suffering to be there working. A piece of advice, there is a nice coffeshop in the main...
