We have been in Colombia 2 weeks , from Bogota all the way to Cartagena & every hotel we stayed ( all 5 stars ) the Coffee was beyond bad . So , everyday we would go to a coffee shop for a cappuccino or a late and the best we had in 2 weeks in all the cities we have been was here , at Cafe Jesus Martin in Salento . The flavor is WOW & the aftertaste is amazing . I wish I can have this coffee everyday. We bought 6 bags of coffee & hope at home our cappuccino or late will taste as good . It is sad that people rate this shop low because they can not stay there the whole day to use the WiFi ! Really ? This is a place where you come & get a coffee & food not expect to use it the whole day as an office . I would be embarrassed to even mention that ! I wish the person who served us were more friendly and smiling! P.S. Since I posted the review I opened & used the coffee I bought here and it is as AMAZINGLY good as in the shop . We have the espresso machine Rancillio Silvia & the cappuccino & lates were to die for . We feel so lucky we can still enjoy this coffee. We are looking into how we can order this to be shipped to LA .

It’s a hot day so after the natural reserve and coffee farm tour, I sat down here with someone I knew from the tour to rest. He has one iced coffee with Baileys - his complaint was it’s too little - he did finish the entire glass with one sip or two. I ordered the Banito Pasión which is a smoothie kind of drink with espresso, condensed milk and passion fruit (you can choose blackberry too). It’s interesting and refreshing, I quite like the taste but the straw was stuck every time I tried to drink with it so I ended up drinking from the glass directly. Nice environment.

I have been to many coffee shops around the world and this place needs better management. We arrived at 11am today and our waitress said the kitchen was closed and they were not serving breakfast, we had to ask her to please ask the chef if he can make us breakfast instead of her making the suggestion. The menu should say that breakfast is served only to a set time and would of helped us decide to eat elsewhere. Our waitress was not friendly, she was rude and also forgot my pastry. When she brought my girlfriend her alfajore it was in a plastic package, which at the time she did not want it because she thought it was freshly made so she changed her mind, the waitress answered “ that’s what I told you, it came in a package.”The waitress had no customer service skills. When we were done eating, I had to walk up to the front and ask for our check. I tried to pay with my American Express and it was not accepted, I understand it may have higher credit card fees for the merchant but I wasn’t even given a paper recipient. The cashier asked for my phone number and said it will be sent via text. This was not a good way to start off our trip to Salento...

Good atmosphere, but poor service. Every method of coffee making they advertised (aero, chemex, v60, Japanese siphon, French press) was out of service, besides espresso. I came specifically to try the other methods of coffee making, as espresso is over roasted, less flavorful, and pretty much the only way coffee can be found in Latin America (besides instant), so I was a little disappointed. Then waiting at the counter to order, two people walked up and had their orders taken first. I probably was just there on a bad day. The location and the atmosphere are great, and I still recommend checking it out. There are better places in town if you prefer actual coffee over espresso.

Cute sitting area. Prices are a bit higher than I expected, but the coffee cocktail options are reasonably priced at ~$16k COP each. Triciclo (4/5): tasted like a sweet dessert coffee drink. Not much alcohol flavour. Kind of like a coffee with some Bailey. Fusion Del Barista (4/5): very creative drink. High acidity. Can't really taste the mint flavour, but it was nicely chilled and foamy. The wifi is really slow: about 2mb down and 1mb up with the speed test. Note: to buy their beans, it costs about 250g for ~$40k.

Excellent place if you want to drink an excellent coffee with any kind of method that you want. It is coffee made with their own brand Jesus Martin. It is a medium roasted coffee with all the flavors that a magnificent coffee has for all the coffee lovers. They have just naming some coffees macciatto, espresso, americano, cappuccino, mocaccino and other more in their options for you. Enjoy it if you want with some kind of cake of chocolate or carrot cake or other options.
