Hostal Casa de los Taitas , Salento Quindío — Hotel in Quindío

We stayed in the matrimonial bed of a dorm for a total of $50.000 COP. The individual dorm beds were somewhere between $25.000 and $30.000. They also had private rooms, but I don't remember the price. The place was very clean, including the bed sheets, bathroom, and kitchen. The dorm room locked very securely, but there were no lock boxes for our items within the room. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable, and the girls in the individual beds also had the same complaint. The water was hot after letting it run a bit, which is necessary because Salento can get pretty chilly. ||We used the kitchen to cook ourselves breakfast, and the hosts and their family were there to greet us. They were very friendly, offered us coffee, and were glad to show us where things where in the kitchen. The wifi is great in the kitchen and living area, but it does not reach down to the dorm rooms. We stayed here two nights. One night was perfect... the second we were kept awake most of the night by a barking dog. But the accommodations are very clean, the staff is very friendly, and gave us so many recommendations of activities. The most peaceful hostel I've stayed in ever, only a block from the center square, and surrounded by so many places to shop and eat... but a couple of minute walk from the noise. Really, it was perfect for us!! Not a party...

I do not recommend coming here. The owner of the hostel lives in the hostel and gives you the feeling that you are staying with her at home for free. There is also a kitchen but she does not agree to use it, when I opened the fridge she immediately asked me what I was looking for. Feeling really uncomfortable and not good in the hostel.
