Restaurante Delucía — Restaurant in Monteverde

Excellent food and service! This is our second dining experience here because the first one was just too incredible! I had the eggplant parmagiana while my partner had the vegetarian fettuccini, both were so incredibly tasty at a huge portion.

This time I had their homemade chicken noodle with vegetables soup and this has to be the best version I have ever tasted thus far. I only tried one of the day's 4 offers of soups, only because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to finish another dish due to the big dinner portion of my eggplant parmagiana the last time. My partner had the vegetarian lasagna this time. So, both times, our palates were treated to tasty dishes. Wished we had more room for desserts!

Perhaps this restaurant is used to good reviews that they don't care too much about experience. We ordered chicken soup, fajita and veg panini. First, it took an hour to come (yes even chicken soup) which was a torture with a hungry toddler but when it (finally) came the veg panini was very disappointing. Fajitas and soup were good but panini was boiled vegetables in a bun - definitely not the standard of this restaurant so please AVOID it at all costs. I expressed my discontent, and was told if I ordered anything else it would take another 30 mins! This place was right across from country lodge where we were staying so we decided to check this out. it was pleasant so we decided to sit outside. Plenty of room to sit inside or outside . The outside is very nice too with space for parking. We were just walking a short distance. There was only one server when we went so he was very busy but he was really nice guy, doing his best to manage everything. He did a good job explaining in English and suggesting vegetarian options.
