My rating is now based on my last order only (maybe just a little bit on another incident not so long ago). I was served meat dumplings instead of vegan that I chose. I realized it only when I took a bite of one. Not so long ago there was an accidental meat dumpling on my potion of vegan ones, and that one I put whole into my mouth and only then realized what I was chewing. There’s a certain amount of dead animals a vegan can accidentally eat before getting extremely upset. And for me 1.5 dumplings is enough. This place serves nice food, but there’s a lot of things that might not fit to some people. Or it might be dangerous. If they are not attentive to meat vs vegan, shall we expect them to be attentive to people deliberately ordering something without soy or peanut, for example, because of allergies? Probably, the staff would have fixed my issue, if I told them. But I didn’t have power to talk or explain. They were not busy, they were not overloaded. They were having good time behind the bar chatting. And I didn’t want to seat there any longer with a ruined dinner, so I payed the rest of the meal via querko and left. They didn’t even bother trying to talk to me while I was leaving, even though I didn’t pay for a part of the order. Dear, Dim Sum Spot. What the hell? Why someone would specifically order a vegan broth, but meat dumplings? And not just the next position on the menu by mistake, but I ordered the last position form that section and you gave me (included into the bill incorrectly, too) the diary one from that section. Why doesn’t your staff repeat the order after taking it? How can you confuse Tibet and Teriyaki in the names? I believe I shouldn’t have paired that order at all, but I don’t want to waste more of my time to argue. Consider the 150Czk for the broth and salad the last money that I left...
Read moreI recently visited the Dim Sum Spot & Pub in Anděl, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable experience. The food was tasty, the atmosphere relaxed, and the staff welcoming — the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy good company.
We ordered a variety of dishes to share, starting with the shumai, which were perfectly steamed, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The bulgogi Korean BBQ was a pleasant surprise — it had a nice kick of spice that caught me off guard in the best way. On the other hand, the Szechwan sauce didn’t quite live up to its name; it lacked the signature numbing heat and depth of Szechuan pepper I was hoping for. However, the mango habanero sauce more than made up for it — tangy, fruity, and with just the right level of heat to keep things interesting.
The absolute highlight of the meal, though, were the blueberry dumplings. They were unlike anything I’ve had before — sweet, delicate, and bursting with flavor. I’ll definitely be returning just for those.
The staff served with a smile, creating a calm, welcoming vibe. They even let my dog sit with us — three people and one happy pup — which made the evening even better. Thank you to the creativity of this kitchen to being such a...

The cabbage rolls were a refreshing start, perfectly steamed and retaining a satisfying crunch even after transit. The tofu dishes, both silky and rich, were infused with subtle yet distinct flavors that showcased the chef’s expertise. The shiitake mushrooms were a standout, their earthy, umami-rich taste complementing the other dishes superbly.
The pumpkin dumplings were a delightful surprise, offering a sweet-savory balance that was both comforting and unique. The oyster and chicken dim sum were cooked to perfection, each bite juicy and flavorful, highlighting the freshness of the ingredients used.
What truly set the experience apart was the soup. Its taste was a nostalgic reminder of my time in China, with a rich, deeply savory broth that warmed my soul. It was a perfect blend of spices and ingredients, capturing the essence of traditional Chinese cuisine.
Overall, extraordinary experimence granted a little...
