No-one acknowledged us when we walked in so after a few minutes we found our own table. As we were 4 people we joined two small 2 seater tables together. Server came over and took our order. 5 minutes later she came back and said that the bottle of wine we ordered was not available so we had to order something else. After a while another server came over and told us we were not allowed to join tables as it was against the restaurant policy. I asked if we could just move the table back when we were finished and she said no we had to do it immediately. Our wine arrived but our friend’s lemonade did not. When we asked the server where it was she told us the bar was busy. After 20(+) minutes of ordering our friend went to the bar to cancel the lemonade and ask for another glass to have a glass of wine. This café is lovely. The daily menu is great and often includes vegetarian, but not vegan, options. The regular menu is simple and satisfying - omelettes, sandwiches, and quiches. Dessert menu is very nice - cakes, pastries, and other confections. Not a place for a full sit-down dinner. Wine is excellent - many varieties and always delicious. Non-alcoholic beverages are good as well. Everything is well priced and cards are accepted here. Café layout is nice, cozy and the interiors are quite charming. Live music sometimes. The bakery has excellent bread and croissants and is certified kosher. Great place for dates and meetings with friends.
