If you're looking for an authentic taste of Chongqing cuisine, then I highly recommend trying the Chongqing noodles at this restaurant. From the first bite, I could tell that the chefs had put a lot of care and attention into crafting each bowl of noodles.
The broth was rich and spicy, with just the right amount of heat to make my taste buds tingle. It had a complex depth of flavor that I can only describe as "umami", with hints of Sichuan peppercorns and chili oil adding a delightful kick to the dish.
But what really stood out to me were the noodles themselves. They were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of chewiness and a satisfying bite that made each mouthful a joy to eat. And with generous portions of tender beef, fresh cilantro, and green onions, each bowl felt like a complete and satisfying meal.
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to try authentic Chongqing noodles. The flavors were spot-on, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Chinese cuisine or just looking to try something new, this restaurant is definitely...
Read moreGood restaurant, nice concept in Prague, very popular for some reason. Noodles are the best dish, especially the Hot Pork, very umami and flavourful. However, the menu and the quality is not consistent, been here at least 4 times (I live nearby) and each time the food tastes differently. Some dishes, especially the starters and dumplings are not worth it. Noodles come very oily sometimes. For this is one star minus. Biggest flaw is the service, cold and rather rude, not very accomodating feels like “eat and get out” approach. This is my personal feedback, but I have heard others having the same experience.
Nice details of the cuttlery and bowls and you get nice little attentions on the house that usually change every time. Extra points for this.
If you are a tourist, then yes you might like this. If you live in Prague and know a thing or two about the food scene, then you have different standards. Ordered in and take-away also. No cuttlery or tissues or anything given with the takeaway.
P.S.: Also, as I see people commenting on it - the decor is done by the previous owner who ran an Italian place in the same location and not by the...
Read moreWe went to this place looking forward to an amazing food experience. It started off with the waiter not having our reservation, and being really quite rude and unpleasant before he did finally give us a table. The service later apologised and was friendly. I hoped the food would compensate. Admittedly, I don't know what cuisine from this region is supposed to taste like, but based on all the rave reviews, I did expect a flavour experience. We ordered 4 dishes, and only one was worth mentioning (pork wontons in a really great sauce). The noodle dishes were, at least for my taste buds, utterly flavourless. The broth wasn't even salty, let alone spicy, and it was all very very greasy. The beef was tender and nice enough, but again, so bland. They don't offer any additional seasoning, maybe a tablespoon of chilli sauce or soy or something would improve it. Seems other people enjoy it more, but I certainly...
