The whole idea of a pintxos bar is the food diversity and it’s high quality. I cannot say it is a bad as I can tell the restaurant is trying to put the effort into it but when the menu is so short in choices I would pay more attention to how the dishes are prepared. For one, I would not serve patatas bravas with ketchup, anywhere in Spain I haven’t experienced this. The fried calamari were too oily and served with mayo it was difficult to enjoy. The padrón peppers are only served with salt, no need to add paprika. The pintxos bar was poor in variety, many of the choices had cheese and veggies. I love any type of cheese but in the Basque country, pintxos rarely to almost never have cheese. If you want to make a real pintxos bar it may be difficult, as the fish culture is not as high as in Spain, but there are so many other choices, use more Jamon, different salads, caramelized onion with squid (is one of the best pintxo I had in Spain) I would introduce cooked/warm pintxos, not only cold. Would love to see the original pintxo, La Gilda, since the name of the restaurant comes from this. The restaurant is a very nice idea to have in Prague, I am all in, but I would do a bit more research in the pintxos diversity. The overall atmosphere was good, nice music, friendly staff, slightly expensive for the food variety and quality but I would like to see this...

It was very hot day and I came inside to have a cold beer and possibly a tapas snack. There were few customers and I went to second room where air conditioner worked better. They refused to serve me, saying that other room has no electricity and is for personnel to eat not for me. That room has six tables, all empty; I asked just to sit there with my beer so I feel better, they refused. The room has a window and working air conditioner. unlike the first room with open door it’s actually cold there. I asked to close door instead and they said no, it can’t be done as the owner doesn’t allow it.

So not only they waste electricity by cooling a room nobody uses and cooling the street but they show no sympathy to their customer. It was much easier to argue with me for ten minutes rather than let me here.

The menu looks nice but I didn’t taste it.

Update: they offered me free beer which is nice but I still don’t get the...

We probabaly chose very bad, maybe other dishes are great but the burger, the flank steak and the tuna tartar was tragical. The tuna tartar is a great idea, looks good on plate, but it was sooo sooo extremely salty, unbelievably, the capri and the brown sauce (soy?) was way to much and could not taiste any other taiste than that, salt, without drink it was impossible to finish it. The flank steak was totally taiste less, the sauce served aside was nothing but pure water with oil. Based on color I expected a nice slightly smoke taiste sauce, nah this was not that, but literally oily water. The meet was good, medium rare, greatly prepared. The potatoes full of oil, soft not crispy at all. My boyfriend had burger, he said the only good thing on the plate was the sauce. Probably we should have ordered seafood... pity. The service was great, two ladies were very kind and the mango limo was...

Very nice, casual place to eat a few (or several) tasty bites of authentic pintxos and tapas. The chef is an actual Spanish native (Basque region) who takes great pride in his creations. The place is still rather new and they seem to be continuously improving on all the details - I've been there a few times already. I hope this place continues to grow since this concept is a nice addition to Prague and to the neighborhood. The chef, bartender, and staff have been very approachable, so don't be afraid to ask them questions about the dishes and drinks.
