BIZZARE PLACE WITH POOR STANDARDS
Food – exactly same quality of cod and batata chips, that anyone can make on their own at home (if not beter), which does not qualify this place to be called a "restaurant", but just another, average "bistro" instead. The portion against the price - not a great value for money; I would need to consume 2 or even 3 meals to be full, and I am very low in BMI index..
Customer service – one waitress was great, so not matching really the whole place. The other, tried to push to order a drink several of times in 10 mins arrears. Then, I asked to pay and waited for ages, asked 2nd time to hear that I already did, so eventually got up towards till and whilst awaiting - a bold, tattoed barman in a rude way asked "what am I looking for here". 3rd time I asked to pay and few staff people gathered and believe or not, but what had probably happened, they incorrectly put my meal to next table bill, and for some reason other customers who had left alrready, just swiped the card without noticing it apparently and so called "restaurant" charged, this time myself finally and correctly, but at the same time - "again" for the very same meal, so they got themselves decent tip.
Interior – its OK, spacious and one level better and more modern, comparing to many Czech "restaurants/pubs" you can see in Prague.
Price – similar, as at the other "traditional Czech cuisine" places in town, but in this case, you are not leaving filled up enough...
This place has a welcoming vibe that makes it a great place to hang out with friends after work or enjoy a casual weekend evening. The interior is simple yet comfortable, and the atmosphere feels very local and authentic. The selection of beers is impressive - plenty of Czech favorites on tap and often some interesting rotating options. The food menu is small but tasty, with hearty pub-style dishes that go perfectly with a drink. Service was friendly and efficient, even when the place got busy. Prices are fair for the quality and location, which adds to the charm. Overall, a great pub to experience the true Žižkov spirit -lively, unpretentious, and full of character. Would definitely come back for...
Read moreOnly good thing here is atmosphere…. Oh okay and beer. Wanted to go there since it was opened and even once had fired cheese as take away during covid lockdown and it was great. Finally visited this place today and it was a big disappointment. I ordered again fried cheese but this time it was really bad, very poor quality … you can get better fried cheese in any random Czech pub for the half price. “Tatar sauce” served with cheese was just regular mayonnaise directly from the supermarket, no herbs inside, nothing added just some decorations on the top. And The burger ….. it was so bad we felt sick after…
I hope it was just today and they have better food normally but I don’t think we will...
